Why Susan Dowling chose Clarkesville
The location is GREAT! there are many nearby attractions and activities. We love the peacefulness and the serenity of our cabin.
What makes this Cabin unique
My greatest benefit while staying at the cabin is quiet DOWN TIME. I love shopping in the nearby small towns. I love relaxing on the screened porch.

Wonderful eclectic cottage in great location. Fresh hydrangeas on the dining table were a nice touch since it’s my wife’s favorite summer flower. Clean interiors, comfortable bed, nice linens. As a retired upscale interior designer, my wife noticed the well appointed spaces. Was surprised there are no privacy window dressings on the door and adjacent window. Only negative: the screen porch was dirty and decorative pillows/cushions needed to be cleaned. Unfortunately, we did not use this space which was one of the reasons we chose this property. Otherwise, we had a relaxing stay with enjoyable time on the lake and fabulous dinner at The Farmhouse in The Falls gateway community. Recommend Chocolate Mousse.
4th time staying here and will be back
Love the Chocolate Moose!
This little cottage is so adorable. Very comfortable and inviting. I'm an artist so I enjoyed Susan's collection of folk art adorning the walls. Well equipped kitchen. Wonderful amenities. The porch swing was a lovely napping spot. And Susan, the owner, is very responsive. This small cottage is just perfect for a quiet getaway for a couple or a singleton like me. I hope to visit again very soon. Thanks, Susan!
Adorable cottage, relaxing and peaceful
We had a wonderful time at Chocolate Moose! It was a bit damp due to the recent hurricane weather but dried out quickly. We enjoyed the mountain and lake area visiting friends and walking through the Foxfire Center in Mountain City. Light curtains on each side of the cabin would help with privacy. Thank you very much for sharing your home.
Thank you Dee for your review.
Cute Little Cottage
This little cottage was wonderful to stay in. It was just big enough for my husband and I to enjoy for the week that we were in Georgia. Although small, it had everything we needed and was decorated with some fun artwork. We loved sitting on the front porch. I especially enjoyed the swing. Make sure you follow the directions on the instructions and bring a flashlight if you will be checking in after dark. We would have been lost without ours.
Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed your stay.
Quiet area, and very peaceful.
It was nicely decorated, and very quiet. We enjoyed this a great deal.
Thank you for your kind review. I am glad you enjoyed your visit.
