Great view from balcony for our condo. One thing I would say is it would have been nice to know about work being done (painting) on the building prior to our arrival.
This was my second stay at the Island Inn, first time in room 220. Everything was just as described. Room is well stocked with all you need for your beach vacation. You can not ask for more! The price is right, views are PRICELESS. The Island Inn is in a wonderful location, great pool and bar. The beach is spacious and not crowded. I highly recommend this property!
we rented this condo for 8 days end-feb, early march. location on the beach is terrific, pool is great size and very adequate seating, owners were thoughtful enough to provide virtually everything you would need from beach chairs to an iron.....quite a few cooking items seem to have been taken or thrown out by previous renters but can make do w what is there. Our biggest complaint and the reason for the 3 stars is the beds are extremely soft and uncomfortable. i had read this in previous reviews before booking and was told the need for new beds would be evaluated. before balance was due i inquired about the beds and was told they were replaced. We were surprised and disappointed to experience how uncomfortable the beds were. IF they were replaced they must be as uncomfortable as the original.
My husband and I rented this condo for several days and we loved it. The sunsets from the balcony are amazing! We had everything that we needed right in the room to cook but we chose to dine out. I enjoyed morning walks on the beach and we rented a cabana out front most afternoons. Nice and relaxing!
My mother and I rented this efficiency style room. We loved having a place to stay with a view of the Gulf of Mexico. The room appeared cute in pictures and it looked similar in person. This room is near Johns Pass which is a great place to spend at least three hours during your visit-however I would seek out other resteraunts. Please put "Conch" on your lunch/dinner list because it is quality and the food and prices will not disappoint!
Keep in mind this is a two star facility so your expectations of the facility/room should be aligned with the Internet rating. I am giving it two stars because I did not feel the room was clean to my standards but You get what you pay for, right? So, if you are looking for a cheap place to sleep this should suffice. The heated pool was a bonus. Also there is a little bar near the pool which could be cool for visitors looking for quick drinks.
The room and view were amazing and we appreciate the extra items available for use ie beach chairs and sand toys. The only complaint was the housekeepers stood outside the room smoking. The housekeeping office is right across the hall and whenever the housekeepers took a break, they stood there and smoked.
