“Summer Song” is certain to entice you and your family to stay here forever. Everything you will need for perfect and memorable vacation has been considered and provided at “Summer Song”. The first item needed to make a vacation perfect is an ocean front view. From “Summer Song” you will find ocean front views from the living area and two bedrooms, as well as the two featured decks. Next you need entertainment for a perfect vacation. Located on the Grand Pavilion Boardwalk, your family will find two ocean front swimming pools, beach café and bar, ice cream shop and beach shop all steps away from “Summer Song”. Nightly and weekend entertainment can be found on the Boardwalk during the Summer Season, so your family can shag the night away or listen to the beat of a steel drum band. Finally, to make the perfect vacation you need wonderful accommodations. Originally, designed as a small bed and breakfast, “Summer Song” has plenty of room for your family. Each bedroom features new carpeting (Fall 2011), full bath, HVAC controls, and televisions. Bedding includes two king beds and four queen beds. The kitchen, dining area and living room are located on the first level, and provide a comfortable location for your family to gather and share their many experiences at the beach. Once the stories have ended, everyone can enjoy the large flat screen television or head back to the beach for an evening filled with fun looking for sand crabs or maybe sand dollars. The Grand Pavilion Boardwalk is the heart of Wild Dunes and is used (based on season) as a venue for special events hosted by Wild Dunes Resort Catering Team. Where a schedule is not available to the public, Wild Dunes is required to have a swimming pool available for guest access at all times. Just like the Sirens tempted the sailors of old, “Summer Song” will entice you to stay forever on the Isle of Palms.
Features Wild Dunes Resort Club Sports Card! A Sports Card is required to access the Club Swim Center, Club Fitness Room (entry fee), Tennis Center (court fees apply). Access granted to Palm Cove Pool after 3pm and Boardwalk Inn Pool after 4pm with Sports Card.
The Isle of Palms, like all barrier islands, has a dynamic beach near the inlet that separates the island from Dewees Island. The ebb and flow of the changing tides, through the inlet, creates and moves sand bars just off shore. These sandbars will channel waves between them, resulting in the massive buildup of sand along portions of the island where other areas may develop temporary erosional hot spots. These hot spots will feature a sand beach throughout the day outside an hour or so before and after high tide. Where a dry sand beach may be limited in these few areas at high tide, walking either direction will lead to an area where the sandbars have created an expansive beach to enjoy at any tide.

Although the beach itself was lovely and Beachside Vacations provided excellent service, we had some concerns about the property. The house was not well-maintained - many interior lights were out or not functioning, doors and outside gate had issues closing/opening properly, living room furniture was not as represented, screws were missing from outlet and switch plates in every room and outlets were loose, and all the bathrooms had multiple issues including loose/broken tiles, moldy grout, rusted fixtures, and extremely slow drains (up to 6" standing water during 10-minute showers). We also did not feel that the house location/environment was accurately represented in the online listing - it was promoted as a relaxing environment, but the pool area was extremely close, noisy, and crowded, especially in the evening hours.
The current state of the house does not give the best representation, especially given the expense. For such a supposedly high-caliber property and expectation of a relaxing, worry-free week, this experience was somewhat disappointing. We made the best of it but suggest that the maintenance issues be given prompt attention as we would like future guests to have a better experience.
I stayed in this condo August 2015 and was not going to write an awful review until I saw the only other review was glowing. I have been coming to Wild Dunes for 20 plus years and this condo is by far and away the worst condo we have ever stayed in. The only positive is the location, which is great. No updates have been made to this place in years and everything is worn and dilapidated. Furniture sags & is worn, bedding has stains or bleach marks, doors & windows to not close, outdoor area is mildewed and in desperate need of paint, serving pieces, pots & pans, silverware, dishes are few and mismatched, carpet and rugs are filthy! I would NEVER recommend staying at this property.
I found the apartment via Home Away , and was impressed with the reviews.
From the moment of our arrival, to our departure, we felt welcome. Tricia is just lovely, and so helpful and sent us Welcome Letter with all we need to know.
The apartment was exactly as advertised: very clean; nicely sized, beautiful and comfortable & 24 hour doormen.
Location is great, the subway is next to the building few streets to Times Square, Central Park is 1 street away , and all major attractions.

I would 100% recommend this listing to others and would rent it again in the future.
