My three kids and I just got back from staying a week at this beach house for the second year in a row. We had a great stay both times! It was a nice surprise to see improvements made throughout the house when we arrived this year. A nice new couch in the game room along with a pinball machine & jukebox which along with the arcade game that was there last year entertained my kids when we weren't out on the beach. New cement driveways and area under the house are a nice addition as well. The beds in all of the bedrooms are super comfortable. We loved how the eating area and living room are one big room...nice open feel. The kitchen is small but is more than adequate for a vacation at the beach. Great location that is an easy walk or bike ride to the beach. My only complaint is the fact that a fee has to be paid to access the pools. Overall this a great beach house to stay in for a week at the beach! We hope to come back soon :)
I was excited for a long weekend with my kids and have stayed at several homes within Wild Dunes. This place was super disappointing from horrible water pressure in showers, cock roaches roaming around the floors, ants on the food, it mentions a pinball machine, but it wasn't there, the couch in the game room was stained, and the "TV"'s with their wires all over the walls were basically computer monitors attached to the walls & not all of them worked properly.
We had the best vacation ever! The game room/sunroom is phenomenal! Comfortable beds! Roomy house. Short walk to beach. Great area to get your run/walk in. Reasonable cost. Would definitely stay here again!!
Property is in a good location, not too far from the beach. Exterior is showing a bit of wear, but nothing that a bit of paint and a few nails couldn't fix. Interior also shows a bit of wear (it is a rental after all!), but the house was very clean and well equipped. Beds are very comfortable, kitchen has every gadget you could need, and the washer and dryer worked well. (Exterior dryer vent needs maintenance, as it appeared clogged...)
Arcade games were a nice touch, though the pinball machine was not working during our stay. PacMan and Galaga kept us busy when we needed a distraction. Plenty of TVs, though none of them were particularly good quality. A/C worked well at night, but was challenged to keep up with the day time temperatures.
Not sure I'd come back to Wild Dunes -- although this property features a Sportspass, you have to pay for any facility you want to use. (25 dollars for the pool, per day...) We didn't use any of the Wild Dunes facilities during our stay.
Overall, it was a good house, but would be more appealing with a little bit of maintenance and repair.
This property is perfect for families with teens. We had plenty of room, comfortable beds and seating, arcade games to keep us busy at night, and enough TV's that no one had to fight over them. Highly recommended! Kitchen is well equipped as well, and the property management company was fantastic, friendly, and helpful.
Would not recommend this property. Couches in sunroom were filthy. TV did not work in sunroom. Air Conditioning problems the entire week. Refrigerator had water in it and got in our food. The kitchen is tiny and only one person could be in it at a time. Tacky wallpaper and big stains on master bedroom ceiling from air conditioning problems. Pool was included in week but, we had to pay for it.
