Great house on an amazing beach
We loved this house. It's located at the end of quiet 10MPH road. The view of the water from the back porch is incredible. The house was amazingly clean at check in with nice details like a new clean sponge, nice towels. The house is small but laid out well. We also found ourselves outside on the porch or at the beach most of the time.
We loved the proximity to Portland's Old Port as well as a walkable ice cream stop. Getting from the house to the beach took minutes. I hope to return again to this house someday soon.
Perfect family getaway!
My husband, son, and I stayed here for 4 days before dropping off our son for sleepaway camp at Lake Sebago. It is a beautiful and relaxing place to stay with gorgeous views of the ocean from the wraparound deck. Great birding and beach combing at low tide. We saw deer and rabbits in the marsh grass, wild flowers, and blossoming hawthorn bushes between the beach and the house. Our son really enjoyed experimenting with ocean fishing and building sand castles and exploring the beach, which is well protected from strong currents by Richmond Island. There are some neat little tide pools that come out at extreme low tide at the far end of the beach. The house is immaculately clean and has everything you need for a day at the beach, even tote bags to carry books and towels, and a small hose by the door for washing off the sand. There is a wonderful little homemade ice cream place within walking distance and a nearby market. Portland is very close, as is the Cape Elizabeth light house. Karen was an incredible host: she did everything possible to accommodate my husband’s allergies to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The house is small for the price compared to other places we have rented in Cape Cod and Hawaii; however, the expansive view of the ocean and sky, especially at sunset from the deck, makes up for it! We hope to stay again at this beautiful beachside cottage!
Great home - everything we expected and more. Will go back!
Cozy, clean comfortable home. Amazing beach access. Attentive owner. Exactly how it was presented in the marketing. Zero complaints and already talking about going back!
A dream beach cottage in a charming coastal town
This is an amazing beach front property in Cape Elizabeth. My husband, daughter, my parents and I stayed here for a week and could not have been more pleased with the place. The view from the deck is heavenly. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed—from kitchen appliances, to beach umbrellas and chairs, to ocean views and sounds—it was great. The property is also very close to a little market and cafe, and many great restaurants. I highly recommend this place!
Wonderful family getaway
Best location EVER! Beautiful, clean and comfortable cottage. All the amenities you need, but don't, because all you want to do is enjoy the view and walk the beach. Looking forward to making this our annual retreat. Hope to stay a week next time.
Our kids enjoyed a night out in Portland, amazingly close.
Beautiful house by the Ocean
We had a fantastic stay for my Dad’s 80th. House is cute and well decorated for a beach house. Towels and sheets were included and the view is magnificent. A little pricey for off season but we enjoyed our time there. Thank you.
