Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you for the wonderful way you welcomed us to your lovely home. It was perfect for entertaining our guests and the bridal party. The lovely gardens and patio, the game room and the sleeping accomodations made our daughters special day really special.

We hope to return for other special events.

Excellent location in old city

  • 5 of 5

My husband, adult daughter and I enjoyed our one week stay at Rose Cottage in March, 2016. The cottage was cozy, but came with everything we needed to prepare meals and relax in the evening. The quiet neighborhood, filled with the sounds of birds, was wonderful to walk through. We were able to walk to almost all St. Augustine sights from the cottage, which was a real plus for us. Patricia was very prompt in responding to our requests, and gave us good suggestions for restaurants. They only item we would have liked is additional seating in the eating area. We would definitely book again if we return to St. Augustine.

We loved staying at the Rose Cottage.

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay at the Rose Cottage. The grounds were beautiful and well kept, the pool was clean and well maintained, the owners were very friendly and sweet. The cottage was clean and comfortable and we hope to make it our anniversary spot every year. Walking distance from the historic district and the water and highly recommended over a hotel/condo any day!!!! Thank you for a fabulous vacation/honeymoon retreat!!!!!!!!

Clean, private, and centralized!

  • 4 of 5

Great little 2br spot walking distance to everything in historic St. Augustine. Nice owners. The cottage is on a private property, quiet and extremely clean. Walking distance to the trolley stop, museums and shopping so you don't need to drive if you don't want to. The private pool was great in the summer for a dip after a day of walking around and before heading to dinner. We would definitely stay again if it's available!

Loved the rose cottage

  • 5 of 5

It was everything I needed while in ST. Augustine and more! Lovely home, parking on premises, a pool, very clean, very safe and close to EVERYTHING! I was traveling for business and staying alone for most of the week (my husband came for the weekend) and I felt very safe & comfortable staying there by myself. There's plenty of room. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating. You had everything you needed too. Even beach towels, which we didn't find until the last day :) I was really amazed at how close to the downtown of St. Augustine we were. Walking distance to all of it. I will most likely stay here again.

Rich experience in St. Augustine

  • 5 of 5

The owner, Patricia Merritt, is a most gracious host. She is friendly, generous and extremely helpful and accommodating. We rented two of her places, the small cottage on Joiner Street and the spectacular house on Water Street. We loved both places. They are spotlessly clear and very well equipped. The larger house on Water Street "Captain's Quarters" was our favorite; Great view and so much room. You cannot go wrong with either place. Both are very much downtown and you can walk where ever you wish to go.
