Thank you for the wonderful way you welcomed us to your lovely home. It was perfect for entertaining our guests and the bridal party. The lovely gardens and patio, the game room and the sleeping accomodations made our daughters special day really special.
We hope to return for other special events.
This adorable cottage is in a great location, just a few minutes walk to downtown! Greatly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning!
We love St. Augustine and The Rose Cottage is the perfect place for us! Pat and Ty are wonderful hosts and you couldn't ask for a better location. We really don't have to get in the car and drive for anything. It is an older cottage which is what we love about it.
I brought two young teenage boys to St Augustine and rented Patrica's charming and quaint cottage, which sits behind their house, in the lovely gardens of their home built in the 1850's. She was very helpful when we had requests, and made our stay fun and relaxed. The cottage has two bedrooms and a full bath. The kitchen is fully equipped (except no dishwasher, which we didn't need). The living room was comfortable and the cottage was very clean upon our arrival. Since the weather had some crazy extremes on our visit, I can attest that both the AC and heater in this total electric property operated sufficiently.
The location is in a very nice, quiet neighborhood that is a block from the marshes, a block from Ft Castillo, and sits almost adjacent to Ripley's Museum. It is also a block from a trolley stop/welcome center. The trolley was great when we were tired, but the cottage is truly in walking distance to everything from the Old Jail and Fountain of Youth to all the attractions/restaurants in the downtown historic district. St Augustine is not a place that has a lot of parking so it was nice not to have the hassle and expense of parking a car. I would definitely stay here again.
We stayed at Rose Cottage for a week in July 2016. It was the perfect size for our family of 4. The location could absolutely not be better. A block one direction takes you right into the old fort, which is directly across the street from all the action. A block the other way is the main trolley stop. The owner's hospitality was above and beyond expectation, and prompt from the first email until we pulled out of the driveway at the end of our trip. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. We know where we'll be staying on our next visit to Saint Augustine!
Pat was an excellent host to our family. We enjoyed the privacy and convenience of the Rose Cottage. It was very nice to be able to sight-see and then take frequent breaks at the cottage to cool off. We would definitely stay there again.
My husband, adult daughter and I enjoyed our one week stay at Rose Cottage in March, 2016. The cottage was cozy, but came with everything we needed to prepare meals and relax in the evening. The quiet neighborhood, filled with the sounds of birds, was wonderful to walk through. We were able to walk to almost all St. Augustine sights from the cottage, which was a real plus for us. Patricia was very prompt in responding to our requests, and gave us good suggestions for restaurants. They only item we would have liked is additional seating in the eating area. We would definitely book again if we return to St. Augustine.
