3 Bedroom 2 Bath Retreat 4 miles S. of the Spire Institute and I-90
About Tammy Wigren
This vacation rental was renovated by two ambitious women at the direction and advise of an incredibly talented brother, Tate Hedrick of Hedrick Homes. It started as an old farm house that the neighbors said was rolled to the property with horses in 1926. It needed a lot of work but the end result was well worth the investment.
Tammy Wigren purchased this House in 2011
Why Tammy Wigren chose Geneva
Surrounded by vineyards on two sides, this rental is quiet, tucked away from it all yet easily accessible to all the area attractions. Break away from technology, lose the WiFi and ENJOY!
What makes this House unique
Surrounded by wildlife, you'll awaken to the sounds of morning doves and song birds. The home is warm with radiant floor heating in the winter and cooled by the shade of the mammoth maple tree in the summer. Sit on the adirondack chairs and enjoy the summer breeze.

We love staying at the Wine Hop Inn. By far, one of the nicest places we have ever stayed.
The Wine Hop Inn is one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. Very clean. Accommodations are wonderful. New fire pit was wonderful. Will come back again next year.
Thanks for the great review - we take pride in keeping it up for awesome renters like you! Can't wait to have you back.
Wine Hop Weekend
The property was as advertised. Great location for wine tasting and taking in all the local amenities. Tammy is a wealth of information for where to go for great food off the beaten path. Great experience
Thank you so much for staying at the Wine Hop and taking the time to write such a nice review! Hope to see you back soon. Tammy
Wonderful stay at Wine Hop
Delightful place to stay; from the easy check-in to the simple check-out and every day in between! The property is in the midst of Northeast Ohio's wine country, very quiet and peaceful! The house itself is a 10 out of 10! Nicely furnished, thoughtful amenities, modern conveniences, and lots of wine-themed touches.
Plenty of things to do in the area: Lake Erie beaches, numerous wineries, kitschy Geneva on the Lake, Spire Institute, several covered bridges, and both Cleveland OH and Erie PA easily accessible within an hour. Niagara Falls is just 3 hours away.
But for me, the best part of staying at Wine Hop was sitting outside, breathing in the serenity of the surroundings and breathing away the noise and stress of every day life.
The host, Tammy, was very prompt and friendly in her communications. I highly recommend this property and hope to visit Wine Hop again.
Prefect house and location for a girls weekend.
The Wine Hop was the perfect house for our family function! Six adults and two babies stayed very comfortable! Loved the decor and great outdoor space! Clean as a whistle and I am picky! Thanks Tammy♥️
Perfect little getaway
What a wonderful and relaxing place Tammy has created. Our son competed at the Spire Institute and it was an easy drive from the house to Spire. The house is in a serene and peaceful location, yet is close enough to everything which made it not only convenient, but so enjoyable too.
This property is located in the heart of Ohio's wine region, within 10 minutes of 12 award winning wineries and the area's only bourbon distillery 'Red Eagle Distillery'. Self-driving tours of the area's wineries and the historic covered bridges are a must see. The grand river is a designated state scenic river worth a trip in a canoe or kayak especially during fall foliage. The fresh water steel head trout found west of the Harpersfield dam and record catching muskie found near the tote road boat launch are a must for any fisherman. Just 15 minutes down the road you will find Ohio's oldest summer resort at Geneva-on-the-lake. Gotl offers tons of family fun; arcade games, putt-putt, water slides, batting cages, night clubs and of course Madsen Donuts (a must for anybody - tourist or local alike). Geneva State Park offers a beach, bike path and marina with a public boat launch and sport fishing charters available. The sports enthusiast will enjoy the 43 mile Western Reserve Greenway Trail located only 15 minutes away where you can walk, run, bike, or roller blade. If you are in town for events at the world class Spire Institute, we are conveniently located a mere 4 miles South of the complex off of sr 534. End your day with fine dining at the Vault restaurant or Cornerstone brewery found across the street from each other in downtown Madison, Ohio located only 10 miles away.
The first weekend in June is the perfect time to visit. Debonne Winery hosts their annual Hot Air Balloon Festival. The beauty of the balloons rising over the grape vineyards is a must see event! If your lucky and the wind is right you can see them without leaving the Wine Hop!
(Tethered rides are also available)
