Waters Edge is one of two beautiful lakefront rental homes (Waters Edge & Waters Edge III) that sit side by side each other in one of the best locations on the lake. Waters Edge pictured above is a beautiful tri-level home with decorator touches offers the best in casual lakefront living and is situated with its own private dock and pier on the quiet side of Lake Norman's 520 miles of shoreline. This clean, fresh home is a fully furnished 3 level home that has 6 Bedrooms, 5 1/2 Baths and Sleeps 20 comfortably. You'll agree after reading below that you won't find a better value on the lake for such a beautiful spacious home.

Upon arrival when you cross the rocking chair front porch and enter this 4300 sq.ft. home, you immediately notice that everything is new, fresh, and stylish including the furnishings.

You enter a large open 2 story great room with soaring ceilings and a large atrium window that lets the sunny days and star filled nights flow inside. At the bottom of the stairs is a fireplace with gas logs, should you come in cooler weather, graced by a plasma screen television over the mantle. Looking directly in front of you are large glass doors that look directly onto the blue skies and sparkling waters of the lake. Open those doors, as well as the patio doors to two of the three master suites of the home, and you'll find a large wrap around deck and patio. From these strategic points you can enjoy your morning coffee while enjoying the beautiful views of the lake.

Directly off from the open airy family room is a large open kitchen that is fully equipped that can be enjoyed by your culinary chef while they continue to be a part of all the activities. And there is plenty of room for seating up to 16 of the family close together with bar seating, breakfast seating,

and a beautiful dining room that all come together for great family events. Or you can trade in the indoors for that family cookout on the oversized gas grill and relax on one of the three sets of patio furniture. Either one is designed for great entertaining and large family get-togethers.

This home is situated on three separate levels with each level having its very own seating and living areas, and its very own master suites that are peaceful retreats with their own private baths and a lovely lakefront view. All the masters have intimate spaces to relax, watch a little TV, or just get away from the kids or crowd. And when it comes time to turn in, the beds have fresh bedding and plush pillowtop mattresses for maximum comfort. There is also a 2nd bedroom on each level making each level a retreat for each family. Five of the 6 bedrooms have their own private bath. With the 3 levels of lakefront living to spread out, there are multiple eating and sitting areas and a large family game

room, a large 60 inch screen TV, a pool table, a Foosball table, board games and even a separate kitchenette for added convenience. It's a great place for the kids on rainy days and the big guys on any day. Attention has been given to every detail including a full bath that opens directly onto the deck for swimmers coming out of the lake or for those just needing a quick pitstop while lounging on the deck.

And speaking of outdoors, there are beautiful large flat lawns for the kids to run and play volleyball, and a paved sidewalk that winds down through beautiful landscaping to the warm, refreshing waters of beautiful Lake Norman. For maximum enjoyment there is a private dock

and pier for docking boats and jet skis, sun decks to fish and swim from, or just get that perfect tan. And don't worry about the little ones because all the decks on the house as well as near the water have locking gates for safety.

Waters Edge and Waters Edge II are ideal rentals for a large family reunion. 35 of us just had a family reunion. Kitchens are equipped with everything you would ever need. Docks are ideal for multiple boats. Hills keep you in shape. Lawns provide space for all kinds of group games. Owners are wonderful to work with. Just a perfect vacation for all ages.

Family Christmas

  • 5 of 5

Our family gets together every year for Christmas and this year we chose Water's Edge. The house is very spacious and well maintained. We really enjoyed our weekend there and would go back again. The rooms are nicely decorated and just makes you feel like you are at home. The owner, Patti, was very helpful with our reservation and even let us know of a different route to take once we got closer to the house.

If you go to the Lake Norman area, I would definitely recommend going to Stacey's restaurant on Hwy 16 for a meal or two. It is about 3 miles from Water's Edge.

Awesome time at Water's Edge and Water's Edge III

  • 5 of 5

We've just returned from a long weekend at both Water's Edge and Water's Edge III vacation homes. Between both homes we slept 35 adults and children very comfortably. There was plenty of parking and both homes had something for everyone in the family. We enjoyed coffee on the beautiful decks each morning, with gorgeous views of the lake. We fished from one of the 2 docks or swam in the lake. Everyone enjoyed playing pool, air hockey or one of the other many games provided. In the evenings, family time was spent around the fire pit. We also enjoyed a large lakeside family dinner on the lovely level lawn. We will remember this weekend for a long time. I highly recommend these beautiful homes, they will not disappoint, especially if you have a large group.

Wonderful Lake Norman House

  • 5 of 5

We visit Lake Norman every year with 2 other families for a total of 6 adults and 8 children. We've stayed at Water's Edge for 4 years now and have truly loved our time at the lake in this spacious and well-maintained home. The sunsets are absolutely beautiful from the back deck as you overlook the pretty garden and lake. The house is also positioned very well on a quiet cove but with easy access to restaurants and islands for the kids. The dock is in deep water but sheltered enough that the kids could have a blast jumping into the lake and swimming right by the house without concerns of too much boat traffic. The owners are very helpful and pleasure to deal with, as well.

Anniversary reunion

  • 5 of 5

Family gathered to celebrate parents' 60th wedding anniversary. Worked perfectly w/kitchen, deck, dining and bedrooms on the main floor, which accommodated my father's walker. A secluded part of the lake w/minimal traffic. Interior furnishings and amenities are excellent. Marina was an easy, quick drive for pontoon boat rental (reduced rate after Labor Day) House sits up from the lake, so don't expect to fish from the back deck, but you get a beautiful view. Make sure to drive in via Woodchuck, much smoother road. Great game room, plus having a second kitchen downstairs was a bonus. Found a great breakfast place in Denver, but otherwise just used kitchen/grill for meals and didn't go out at night.

Owner's Response: Glad the guest had a great time and the house was so accommadating. The house sits back far enough to have a beautiful view and one can't fish directly from the porch, but the nice paved sidewalk gently leads down to beautiful year round water for fishing and boating. Come, enjoy again soon.

Large bedrooms and kitchen. Our family had a wonderful time. We had 17 family members and went up for my granddaughters wedding in Davidson. Grandchildren had fun on the dock and playing pool downstairs. It is clean and well maintained .. took great photos with the beautiful sunset. Modern decor. There is even an extra refrigerator in the downstairs area that is walk out to the dock. Plenty of baths and showers ... You will really enjoy this house. Everyone had a good time.

We would all highly recomment this rental property. Some of the family went to Big Daddys for oysters and shrimp.
