Overview

About the property

Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

You don't get any closer than this! Gorgeous, newly renovated condo with breathtaking ocean views located in Wild Dunes. Tastefully appointed in soothing pastels and cheerful hues, this front beach villa invites you to relax and enjoy the comforts of home along with the amenities of a world class resort.

The private deck overlooks the beach and offers unparalleled vistas. The condo features an open floor plan, flat screen TVs, BlueRay/DVD player and wireless internet. You are just a short walk from tennis, golf, and the restaurants and shops of Wild Dunes' Grand Pavilion. The beach and Seagrove Villas' exclusive pool are both just steps away. This one-bedroom condo features a King size bed and Queen size sleeper sofa, making it perfect for a couple or a small family.

The Isle of Palms, like all barrier islands, has a dynamic beach near the inlet that separates the island from Dewees Island. The ebb and flow of the changing tides, through the inlet, creates and moves sand bars just off shore. These sandbars will channel waves between them, resulting in the massive buildup of sand along portions of the island where other areas may develop temporary erosional hot spots. These hot spots will feature a sand beach throughout the day outside an hour or so before and after high tide. Where a dry sand beach may be limited in these few areas at high tide, walking either direction will lead to an area where the sandbars have created an expansive beach to enjoy at any tide.

Wonderful condo. We loved our view and it was furnished with everything we needed. Our check in was smooth and the man who waited on us was very informative with directions and answered all of our questions. A great welcome :) We loved our vacation. From beginning to end, it was wonderful. Thank you so much and we can't wait to return.

Very compact and close to ocean.

Loved location and looks like sea will reclaim. Right at center of major erosion.

Lovely Accommodations in a Great Community

  • 5 of 5

The living area is very spacious and beautifully decorated. The bedroom is lovely. We loved the balcony. We ate breakfast there most mornings. We were afraid the view would be limited, but it's actually very good. The bathroom was very clean. Good laundry. The pool is just around the corner. It was very clean with nice furniture. The community is very friendly, quiet, and safe.

Another Great Stay at Isle of Palms

  • 4 of 5

Great one room condo. Comfy bed and living room. Wonderful view of the ocean. Kitchen had all of the essentials. Bring your own coffee filters. The access to the beach was damaged but still very close by.

I recommend this property.

Owner's Response: We thank you so much for the response and are so glad you enjoyed your stay at our Seagrove. We did have some major tides in September, and now in October that limited the beach access. Wild Dunes will be doing some beach renourishment over the offseason to expand the beach again. Also, we plan to upgrade a lot of the furnishings, and interior of this unit, so look for new photos in the spring. Thanks again for your comments!

Loved Charleston and Isle of Palms, this condo...eh.

  • 2 of 5

This condo is spacious, was clean and had a spectacular view of the ocean. Fortunately, we spent all our time sight seeing and on the beach. The condo itself seemed tired. The furniture was worn, the bed was very lumpy and the unit's kitchen and bathroom were very dated. Also a bit of an unpleasant smell in the kitchen so I needed to buy candles. I believe there are comparable units available for the price in Isle of Palms and we'll probably try those.

A couple more things: not for anyone who has physical limitations. The steps to the beach are formidable! Getting in and out of the tub to shower was also a little challenging. But we didn't look for those kinds of amenities so no complaints, just awareness. Also the beach is really unavailable in the mornings due to high tide eating up the beach. This didn't bother us at all because there is so much to see in and around Charleston.

All this being said, the property management company was great to deal with.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your recent visit to the Isle of Palms and 2A Seagrove. Guest feedback is critical to our staff and the property owner so that we can better make decisions regarding improvements to a property. I feel very strongly that any negative experience our guests encounter is unacceptable; not only to me, but also to our entire Beachside Team. Guest feedback is always appreciated and taken very seriously. Thank you for your time to share your thoughts with us. Our staff takes great pride in working with our guest to make sure they have a memorable experience. It is disappointing that you were not overly pleased with the accommodations. 2A Seagrove is in a perfect location offering unbelievable views of the ocean! The private deck with direct access to the beach is truly unique and the property owner has outstanding deck furniture to take advantage of this wonderful amenity. The tile work and most of the living room furniture is fairly new (less than five years old). The living room also features a very nice and large flat screen tv mounted over the fireplace. The property owner is working on several improvements this winter as they do each year. The kitchen and the installation of a decorative tiled ceiling are two items on their list for this offseason (Winter 2015-2016). We are very excited about these upcoming improvements! Mother Nature is hard to understand, especially when it comes to sand movement along the coast! Today, Seagrove is near a hot spot where a sandy beach is available throughout the day outside of a two hour window around high tide. The tides do change daily so this window could be in the afternoon, morning or at night. This being said, a great beach is available just 25 yards away and at any tide in front of the Grand Pavilion! Thank you again for your patience and we apologize for any frustration and inconvenience during your vacation at 2A Seagrove. We hope to show you the improvements to the property in 2016 that will make this excellent condominium with its unbelievable views, even better!

Repeat Visitor!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second year back to this same unit! It is everything you need for a perfect vacation at the beach. We love the spacious living area, the porch access from the beach, the location near Wild Dunes Resort, and the easy drive into Charleston for sightseeing. The deck gives a beautiful view of the beach/ocean that we enjoyed every minute. I hope to bring my family back to this same unit again next year!!
