This vacation retreat is located 100 yards to the sand and another 100 yards to the ocean. If that isn’t enough, it is 10 feet to the largest private pool on the Isle of Palms. It is also on a cul-de-sac, which means no traffic. When it comes to the ideal beach vacation, it is easy to hang ten for a perfect vacation at “Surfers Delight” at #6 on 50th Ave.
The great room has a wood barrel ceiling that is approximately 40 feet high. It is copied after the Catholic Church on Sullivan’s Island and makes “Surfers Delight” one of the most unique homes on the island. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances as well as granite counter tops. There is plenty of comfortable seating in the living area, and a 42” flat screen television is featured to catch the game. A formal dining is located on the main floor just off of the living room with seating for 10 people. Adjacent to the living area you will find a screen porch with plenty of rocking chairs and porch swing, perfect to relax in after a long day in the sun. Four bedrooms and three bathrooms are featured on the second level of the house, as well as a king bed, 2 queen beds and two twin beds. The third level of “Surfers Delight” features a single bedroom with a king bed and large bath. This is a perfect getaway for a mid-afternoon nap or quiet hideaway for reading the latest beach novel.
The beauty of the upper levels of the house might never be seen by the children once they unpack and discover the first level of “Surfers Delight”. Ping pong table, foosball, games, toys, television, leather furniture will make sure the children have plenty to do once you come in from the beach. Two twin beds and a full bath are also located on the first level of “Surfers Delight”.
Everyone will have Real Fun during their week at the beach while staying at “Surfers Delight” and don’t be surprised if you keep coming back for more Real Fun year after year.

The location of this house is great! It is a very short work to the beach path and you have a great view of the ocean from the dining room of the house. Other than that, the house could use a few updates.
Our family finished our third visit to this property and have already booked it again for 2015! The house is beautiful, clean, and well maintained and has a warm and welcoming feeling to it. The bedrooms and rest of the house are spacious and large family functional. Lots of space!! The amenities are great both inside and outside of the house. It had everything we needed except our own food we purchased. The dead end street the house is located on has little traffic and is literally, and super short walk to the beach. The pool is the crown jewel for this property. It accommodates any age and is again, very spacious. This property is the reason our family continues to return to family friendly IOP, SC each time! We love this property!
We had a wonderful 3-generation family vacation (11 of us) on the week leading up to July 4th. The house had plenty of room and the amenities were so many! We especially liked the large playroom downstairs and the large swimming pool, and of course the closeness of the beach. The house was well furnished and comfortable. We have stayed at this same house for 3 years in a row and would definitely consider returning in the future.
