This beachfront suite is located in Sapphire Beach Resort where the many amenities include, swimming pool, tennis courts, marina and water sports center.
The resort is located five minutes away from the shops, diverse restaurants and ferries located in Red Hook. This first floor condo is fully air-conditioned and features a king sized bed, a living area with pull-out couch, a fully equipped efficiency kitchen and your own private balcony. The bedroom area can be partitioned off for privacy if you wish. You are on the beach and steps to the water, for swimming, sunning and fantastic snorkeling.
Sapphire Resort is not the Ritz Carlton (and priced accordingly) but if you are looking for great water sports, the Marina at Sapphire Beach Resort is the only full Marina at a resort on St. Thomas. The local dive shop Dive In offers certification for beginners to Divemaster, one and two tank drive trips as well as tank and snorkel gear rental. Double Header is one of the most successful Sport fishing charters on the island. The captains are experienced and they are successful. BreakAway Charters and New Horizons Charters have great motor trips to the Baths at Virgin Gorda and other BVI snorkeling and partying spots. New Horizons also offers a day sail snorkel adventure as well as sunset and dinner cruises. S/V Nightwind offers custom day sail trips for your family and you can also rent a power boat from Pocket Yachts to create your own adventure. Foxy’s and the Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands are the places to party on the weekend. From there you can boat over to the William Thornton (or Willie T’s), a floating ship at Norman Island for drinks and dancing. Be sure to bring your passport if you are planning to go to the BVI’s.
Red Hook is just a few minutes away where you have your choice of over 15 restaurants and night spots. From elegant to ultra casual you’ll find fine dining, quaint bistros and burger shacks such as The Cellar, XO Wine Bar, the Big Kahuna, Duffy’s Love Shack, East End Café, Molly Malones and many others. You will want to spend at least a couple of nights finding just the right place for you.

I moved to St. Thomas twenty years ago, and decided to stay. I have a Civil Engineering and Land Surveying business on St. John and do design and construction management projects on St. John, St. Thomas and St. Croix. I go back to the states frequently but I usually am ready to come back to Paradise after a week or so away.
I bought a condo at SBR&M because it has the nicest beach and views on St. Thomas. It is also the one resort with a full service marina on the property. I live in Nazareth and use the Condo at Sapphire for friends and family vacations as well as rent it.
I am very spoiled because I live here year round and don't stay in the Condo at Sapphire but I do go to the beach to swim and snorkel and go fishing with Double Header. We always do very well, the captains are very good a lot of fun to fish with.
This was our first stay at Sapphire Beach but it definitely won't be our last. We absolutely loved this condo. The location was perfect. The views couldn't be any better. I loved that this condo was ground level. We could walk off the patio and have our feet in the sand. The pool area was beautiful and clean. The entire staff that we encountered at the resort were very friendly. Greg the owner of the condo was great also. We will be contacting Greg again in the near future for a return stay to this condo.
What a beautiful place. This unit is beautifully kept and decorated. We loved every minute there and felt we made a great choice. The location is amazing and the week was so relaxing. The access to the marina is why we chose Sapphire Beach Resort....and indeed....the access to fishing charters and catamaran trips is fabulous. Oh, and the snorkeling - right outside the door - is stunning! We hope that the owners will have us back!
Can't get any closer to the beach than this place. Just walk off the patio and your in the sand. The unit itself, C107, was clean, well maintained, with a comfortable bed. My wife and I were not looking to go sightseeing, so we did not rent a car. However, you will need some sort of transportation to get to Red Hook, where all the restaurants and shopping are located. As well as the ferry to St. John. We opted to take taxis back and forth. It was cheaper than renting a car, and we didn't have to worry about driving on the "wrong" side of the road. Just call Roy at 340-344-3668 and he'll be at the door in less than 10 minutes.
On your first night there you can have Roy drive you to Red Hook for dinner, then you can walk to Mo's market to do your food shopping and then have Roy pick you up and take you back to the condo. There are plenty of good restaurants in Red Hook without having to travel to Charlotte Amalie.
Greg, the condo owner, was very accommodating and responsive. We would definitely go back to Sapphire Beach and stay in unit C107.
Booked this condo for an 8 day stay to celebrate my 50th B'day.What an adventure and experience! Greg was awesome to work with and offered a super neat place. We were treated to a unit that was much more updated and cleaner than many of the other folks' units that we met while staying at Sapphire Beach. Let me list the positives: Incredible beach views, crystal clear waters (great for snorkeling), crystal clear pool -fresh water (or less sand as my hubby reminded me), well equipped kitchen for easy cooking in (although it was fun to have a few meals out and about for the experience, we found that we could create yummy meals with fresh produce bought from Moe's at Red Hook and save a ton of money), a comfortable bed (king with firm quality mattress), nice linens (soft to the touch), plenty of ice trays to keep your drinks fresh and cold, nice cooking equipment + real glass dishes, nice shower for taking off the sand and sunscreen at the end of the day, nice patio furniture to sit out and enjoy your fabulous views, snorkeling gear, great beach towels (way better than other units), free wi-fi, and nice TV's (important for play-off football and watching our Panthers team win). Additional perks: Burger/drink shack between our unit and the next, volleyball court, Sapphire Grill, Marina for excursions, taxi's out front or open air shuttle at top of hill. Some of my favorite memories: Sleeping in darkened space by new darkening curtains (again this unit was so classy compared to the dated curtains/furniture and stuff of other units we saw), hearing the alarm go off for sunrise time, walking to the blinds and giving a gentle tug to reveal white shears and the beach starting to wake up behind it. The smell of the coffee brewing, the sound of the waves crashing and the glorious sunrises that greeted us in a different way each day while we chatted with folks that we met. I even got a birthday card and serenade! We encountered some difficulty on this trip due to winter storm Jonas. Greg went above and beyond to even out my temper tantrum that I had when we booked another unit in haste for fear of being "homeless" as we waited on flights to open up for our return trip. That unit was awful! We got lucky as his next visitors couldn't get a flight in, so we moved back. I CANNOT say enough about how great Greg was to work with, how his property manager Kathleen kept this unit and how beautiful Sapphire Beach is for a Caribbean retreat. We plan on visiting again!
My wife and two daughters just returned from a great week at Greg's condo. Condo was equipped with everything we needed including several sets of snorkeling equipment. Snorkeling was great right off the beach. Loved waking up each morning to the unbelievable view. Very convenient to Red Hook. We rented a car at the airport and took the car ferry over to St. John's twice. Off The Grid, (food truck at the top of the hill) was great. I only wish the pool bar had been opened.
My husband and I came to relax and enjoy the warm weather 3/9/15 - 3/16/15, getting away from the snowy north! The place was exactly as advertised - perfect location with only 2 steps down to the sandy beach from our outside deck, snorkeling off the beach (and Greg has lots of snorkel equipment), a small burger/beer stand on the property, the pool was a very short walk and in excellent condition. From everywhere, you have a beautiful view of the sparkling Caribbean sea and St. John! We didn't rent a car, but the taxi service was great. A short taxi ride to Red Hook where there's a grocery store and lots of restaurants. One day, we took the ferry from Red Hook to St. John...a must-do! There is a marina at Sapphire where you can find sailing, scuba, powerboat tours, dinner cruises and jetski rentals. At Sapphire beach, you can rent kayaks, paddle boards, etc.
The condo is clean and has everything you need for a beach vacation. We had a problem with the condo on our first evening, but by the time we had dinner and returned to the condo, Greg had fixed the issue. Absolutely the best service you could imagine!
The beach towels were free and you just needed to go to the office to get clean ones whenever you needed them. Half way through the week, the friendly cleaning service changed the sheets & towels as well as cleaned the condo...she even swept the sand off the deck & stairs! We have already started recommending it to friends and family!
