Rustic but modern mountain log home with character

  • 4 of 5

Thanks Brenda and Joe. We all enjoyed being guests at your beautiful Sugar Hill home away. It had just the right amount of space for our family, and offered a relaxing, woodsy, atmosphere with all the needed modern amenities, after long days of skiing. The outstanding wrap around deck is the highlight of your beautiful home. This is certainly a great way to "live free" in New Hampshire.

STUNNING!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was immaculate inside and out with a lot of attention to detail. You can tell the Owners love their home. Beds where comfortable and beautiful, the kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. The location was ideal, close to all our outdoor activities. restaurants and shopping. The Mountain views from the cabin are amazing! The Owner was very nice and always responded to our questions. There was a convenient Guest book inside that was very informative and helpful. Thank you for renting your home to us. We look forward to returning!

House was unbelievable, location was fantastic

  • 5 of 5

The house was unbelievable, owners really do a great job maintaining the property to give it the authentic New Hampshire log cabin appeal but with all the modern amenities. The location was beautiful, very secluded, great place to come back to after a long day on the slopes. My family and I would love to make this an annual trip and would love to visit the house in the summer or fall!

Beautiful cabin, sketchy to get to and owner is ridiculous.

  • 1 of 5

I rented cabins for 16 years now from Tennessee to New Hampshire and a lot in between. First off gps won't bring you to address just close to it, Took us an extra 30 min to find this in the dark with slippery icy roads. The next morning we got up and headed out to our destination getting back to cabin about 630 played a family board game and all went to bed early. Each day we left and came back felt like Russian rullet as far as the roads go.

The next day we came home from our activity and turned on tv for the first time ( Tuesday night). The tv didn't work it turns off every 4 minutes.

We texted her Wednesday about tv as we heard of a storm coming Thursday and we would be stuck in cabin with no tv. She asked if a staff member should come I said yes and no one ever showed. About 8:20 the plow came the next morning. The last day we had a sleigh ride and didn't get back to cabin till 9 NYE we turned in Blake and immediately could see it was a sheet of ice. Our car slipped down ( petrified!!). We were leaving the next morning for airport and knew plow wouldn't come in time. We ended up having to go to Main Street and beg for help finally for $100 a local with 4 wheel drive and snow tires! Drove us up to the cabin to get our stuff. We planned on leaving the next morning so no time to do her huge list of notes. I cleaned throughout so wasn't messy. We shoved everything into suitcases while I'm on phone trying to find a open Hotel on NYE. I left 2 cups on the table and a pan in sink, and missed a few minor things.

This woman charged me a cleaning me for few dishes ( you already pay a cleaning fee in booking) $35 fee for a pic frame moved off mantle ( which we did to mess with chords on tv that she suggested). $35 fee for having to email me! $120 for a blanket she said shrunk from queen to twin. It wasn't even same comforter I explained and she admitted I was right but still charged me as she said it was ruined ( just wrinkled). she had no compassion for the situation and that we had 15 min to get everything and get out of cabin , the local was waiting. We tidied up and did as much as we could

I texted from airport and told her we left quick the night before and hope we covered everything. The next emails from her started. Nuts!! She kept $320 of my deposit My youngest son did have an accident (tiny bit) so I washed blanket on light, airfluff she said they were soaked in dryer yet i shrunk them?

Owner's Response: We are sorry that your experience was not as you expected. However, writing a libel review because your upset about being charged for the damages you did to our belongings, is plan sad. No one has control over Road conditions nor weather. When you rent in a snow region to ski , you are going to experience winter weather conditions which require planning your daily travels and type of rental vehicle accordingly. You where emailed directions and was advised not to rely on GPS along with a recommendation for AWD or 4x4 when traveling in this Mountain region. We did not charge any fees for the items or dirty dishes you stated and you should review the photos and the detailed damage report we supplied to you to clarify. You damaged 2 comforters, left dirty wet towels on the carpets and wood flooring, left entry door unlocked, hid 2 frames in cabinets, ruined a pan, and left more then 2 dirty dishes. The TV was checked and is working perfectly. We only emailed you when we needed to respond back to one of your emails to us.
