Great Place

  • 5 of 5

So happy to have found this place. Communication with Jodi was easy and prompt. Property was very clean and well equipped. We used to gas grill and had everything we needed to prepare dinner. Its within easy walking distance of the Sea Life Center and downtown Seward. Awesome view of Resurrection Bay and surrounding mountains from the kitchen window and balcony. Will definitely stay here again if we return to Seward.

Sweet stay at a Suite View

  • 5 of 5

So lucky I happened upon A Suite View. Easy email communication with Jodi to book. Once arrived, Jodi and Pete were the friendliest and most gracious hosts. You park in the back and have a private entrance to the studio above the garage. Its also withing easy walking distance of downtown Seward.

The studio is well equipped and you can tell Jodi and Pete take lots of pride in hosting guests. Nice furnishings, well equipped kitchen and a great view. They're 1/2 block from Resurrection Bay with a fantastic view from their kitchen window and deck. The bed was super comfy and the sofa sleeper has a high quality mattress in it. Our son slept quite well on it. Not one of the cheapos where you can feel every bar and spring. It was quite comfortable for the 3 of us.

Couldn't recommend staying with Pete and Jodi highly enough.

Nice suite with good view

  • 5 of 5

This studio, built as a “bonus room” above a garage, had a nice view through the kitchen window and from the little balcony toward the bay and the mountains on the opposite side of the bay. We liked pretty much everything about this suite, including two racks for luggage, good bed, TV/DVD and a cozy couch. We even watched a movie one night – the owners seem particularly fond of Julia Roberts movies with quite a few selections (we like them too). It is a quiet neighborhood and we slept well. It may not be equipped for gourmet cooking, but we boiled pasta and veggies and heated some pasta sauce in the microwave – for us the kitchen was quite good and we found everything we needed. We parked our car in back (alley way between Ballantine and 6th) right next to the entrance door leading to a private staircase up to the studio. It was within a walking distance of everything (except perhaps the Safeway which is a little outside town as you drive in). I met Jodi briefly to pay for our stay and she was friendly and suggested some things for us to do on our drive along the Glenn Highway. My on-line contact with her before arrival was very good and she was very gracious when we cancelled one night out of our original 3-night stay. Considering the cost of hotel/motel rooms in Seward, “A Suite View” was a good value and we would be happy to stay there again another time. As far as activities go in a brief time, Exit Glacier was worth seeing and the Kenai Fjords 6 hour catamaran tour was fantastic. Walking the paved path along the shore of Resurrection Bay alongside Seward was also a lot of fun, watching all the campers, salmon fishers, etc.

Great studio with good location and view in Seward

  • 4 of 5

The studio is great for romantic getaways. It has all amenities and is very well maintained. It is just steps away from the Seward bay. The owner and her family are very polite/friendly and had all the amenities for the stay. I would recommend this for couples.
