Explore pristine Florida beaches in the St. Petersburg area, home to Madeira Beach and Treasure Island. Pick from houses, condos and cottages, and get ready to enjoy sugar white sand and warm breezes. Vacations in the St. Petersburg area offer abundant outdoor recreation – on and off the water – a lively arts scene, and award-winning restaurants.

Madeira Beach, located west of St. Petersburg is home to John's Pass Village and Boardwalk, a fun attraction for all ages. John's Pass, or the Pass to locals, offers top dining and nightlife options, family-friendly attractions, shopping and water sports. While walking the 1,100-foot boardwalk, see alligators at The Alligator Attraction and dolphins playing in the Gulf's waters. Walk into dozens of unique shops that sell everything from beachwear to shells to find the perfect souvenir or gift.

Madeira Beach's restaurants welcome family and friends to try the fresh local flavor. Many top-rated restaurants at the Pass feature entertainment, specials and events as well. The Seafood Festival at John's Pass – held annually in October – hosts more than 100,000 guests to celebrate food, music, and arts and crafts.

Water lovers can parasail, rent jet skis or deep-sea fish to complete their beach vacation. John's Pass is also a popular fishing destination and brings in more grouper than any other place in Florida. Visitors can also relax while birdwatching, boating and canoeing, all within easy access of their vacation rental.

Treasure Island – adjacent to St. Petersburg – is another favorite beach town in Florida. Swim, snorkel, fish, parasail and shell at this hot spot, which was named from an early hotel owner who buried and discovered treasure chests on the beach.

Known as a secret spot for sunsets, Treasure Island's 3 miles of beaches serve as the perfect place to watch the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico with someone special. Treasure Island also offers guests fun-filled attractions and things to do, paired with restaurants serving everything from breakfast to fresh seafood dinners.

Other popular attractions in the St. Petersburg area include the award-winning Salvador Dali Museum and Fort De Soto Park, the largest park within the Pinellas County Park System, measuring more than 1,100 acres.

Wonderful & Exactly As Pictured

  • 5 of 5

Unfortunately our time here was interrupted by Hurricane Irma, so we didn't get to complete most of our stay. However, the condo is wonderful. Everything was exactly as pictured, no surprises. Really for the cost, it's a great deal. Right on the beach, no having to walk across the street. Absolutely gorgeous and we enjoyed that the condo had beach chairs and towels and chairs for the balcony! We really appreciated the wonderful customer service we received as well. When the hurricane warnings were issued, iTrip took initiative to get in touch with us, and even called us when evacuations were ordered. They did refund us in a timely manner for the night we lost due to mandatory evacuation. Having stayed in other places like this, I know that not every company has such great customer service. So, that was very much appreciated. You can book this condo knowing you're getting exactly what you see in the listing.

Nice Getaway

  • 4 of 5

My husband, 2 year old daughter and I enjoyed our 5 night stay at the end of July/beginning of August. The king-sized bed was spacious, although I'd suggest bringing your own pillows, as these and the extra ones in the closet left your head flat on the bed. My little one slept on the pull-out sofa bed and luckily she was light enough to not feel the springs, but I can't see it being too comfortable for adults or older children and the top part sunk in a bit. There were 4 beach towels provided as well as nice beach chairs, and TONS of sand toys for the kids. Unfortunately the canopy mentioned in the amenities was broken as well as the large umbrella which was disappointing since we had a small child to keep out of the sun. The bodyboards were missing the leashes to attach it to your wrist, but there was one or two available. There was a hard cooler in the closet as well plus some random items like extra sunscreen, bug spray, a little charcoal, etc. There were about 8-10 hangers in the closet so if you're in need of more, bring your own! Lots of towels in the bathroom/bedroom closet, decent water pressure in the shower. The flooring/carpet was mostly cleaned upon arrival - I only paid close attention since we had a small child who plays on the floor. The areas around and behind furniture, particularly in the bedroom were dusty/dirty, with little pieces of trash behind the bench in the bedroom and dresser. Kitchen cabinets are well-stocked with pots, pans, utensils, etc. with 2 dish rags and 2 towels. Comfortable couches, easy to work TV, nice dining area. The screen door is very frustrating to use as it doesn't easily close which was a hassle since we had a young child we didn't want to escape to the balcony. The door has to be lifted and moved over to properly close - with the high winds and intense storms we had, I was afraid if it didn't get closed right, it was going to blow off. My husband had to close it, as it was too difficult for me. I know I was little detailed with the review, but these are things you don't know about until someone tells you and things I look for when renting a vacation home. We did enjoy our stay and the fabulous view, but a few things could be taken care of to make vacationers' stay a little better!

Aside from the condo, Dolphin Quest in Madeira Beach was great! We enjoyed a 4pm dolphin tour and got to see lots of dolphins...fairly priced, too! Check out Yelp for great local places to eat...the Frog Pond was great for breakfast! The Publix located very close was great for a quick grocery trip and be sure to check out all of the local places for ice cream! If you have young kids, the Tampa Zoo was fun and the Glazer Children's Museum in Tampa was excellent...plan to spend a few hours there!

Loved the condo

  • 5 of 5

The location, with the balcony overlooking the beach, was terrific. The condo was clean, with all of the amenities we needed. Treasure Island is great for families--quiet and friendly neighbors. Treasure Island also has easy access to groceries and restaurants, as well as day trips to Clearwater and St. Pete's Beach.

Love!

  • 5 of 5

I would highly recommend this condo. It's ON THE BEACH and it's very lovely on the inside. The advertising pictures of property were very accurate. I will go back again. I'm already trying to plan a family reunion for next year. Also a big shout out to the owner for providing all the beach chairs, umbrellas and CANOPY which was amazing to sit in the shade! My brothers condo did not provide all of these things. iTrip was very good with instructions and we had no problems! Thank you.

  • 5 of 5

Very nice Condo that will sleep 4 and in a great location. It has everything you will need in the kitchen. Plenty of towels and even beach towels. Comfortable King size Bed. Bathroom has plenty of room for your products with a cabinet and a medicine cabinet with a mirror that also has shelves.

Very nice TV in Living area and in the Bedroom. Enjoyed our time spent at Sunset Chateau. I trip is very good to work with.
