We knew this was 'The Country's Most Beautiful Place' long before it got that moniker. The air is fresher, lakes crystal clear, and the quiet will bring a lasting peace.
Location is great! Something for everyone--beach time, hiking, biking, kayaking, wine touring, or just relaxing on our hammock. The cottage is simple but still has everything you need to be comfortable.
The Mugg Cottage was the perfect spot for a quiet weekend get away. It had a homey, rustic feel near many scenic locations. Highly recommended for an opportunity to disconnect from the world, connect with nature and loved ones. We thoroughly enjoyed a day hike to pyramid point and cooking smores by the wood stove at night :)
House was clean and easy to find (in my opinion). Owner was quick to respond if you had any questions-BRAVO! Loved the location and scenery. Summer is the best time to rent this property for sure but it was so gorgeous in the fall with all of the colors. house has cooking utensils but is bare besides that (no butter, sugar, coffee, etc.) plenty of fire wood for the pit. House heats up quickly! Overall my fiancé and I enjoyed our stay here and would recommend people to go there. Thank you again for letting us stay. BEAUTIFUL!
Cute cottage near Sleepy Bear Dunes. Cottage was clean and nice. Highly recommended!
We stayed at Mugg Cottage for a ladies weekend. The house was the perfect size for the 6 of us (everyone had a bed) and it had all the things we needed. It was about a 30 minute drive to Traverse City and has a great ice cream parlor/ shop down the street. The lake access at the park across the street was great! I would definitely rent this property again!
What a lovely little cottage - I liked everything about it - not to modern and not to rustic - if I could I would like to spend all summer there. I am cyclist - so on bicycle you can get everywhere in 30 minutes, roads are bike friendly and bike/ hiking trails are awesome - Will come back for sure :)
Very disappointed. All the beds were not suitable for sleeping. The floors were dirty. The shower head dripped out water. We could not get some of the outlets to work. The only good thing I can really say is the location is nice. Easy access to Traverse City and all of Lelanau Peninsula. Won't stay here again.
Quiet, secluded house on a hill in a forest. Located 10 minutes from Glen Arbor and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, 20 minutes from Traverse City. Watch the sunset from the dock in Old Settler's park. Biker and kayaker paradise--rent both in Glen Arbor.
