About Pat McCombs

Hortons enjoy the outdoors, that is why we love it here.

Pat McCombs purchased this house in 2008

Why Pat McCombs chose Tennessee

We looked for 5 years, we trekked all over Middle Tennessee, searching for the perfect lake location. I was looking for something that reminded me of our lake cottage on Lake Champlain in Vermont, where I grew up.

Finally found it here. Panoramic view, nice wooded lot, that slopes right into the lake!

What makes this house unique

Huge dock, this is right on the lake. Private, secluded, peaceful ... yet minutes to all that Nashville has to offer.

Perfect Getaway House!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a "staycation" in Nashville. It was hard to believe it's so close to the city, it feels so calm and peaceful. The house was absolutely adorable, accommodating and VERY clean. The view was amazing, and the dock was easily accessible. There's a glassed in porch area if the weather requires, but also plenty of outside deck area. The kitchen had everything we needed, the linens were fresh and plenty. We are already planning our trip for next year!

Relaxing getaway with great scenic views

  • 5 of 5

Great view of lake from house perched on a hill. Multi-level decks offer nice space for reading or just enjoying the day. The enclosed upper deck offered nice protection during some stormy weather we had during our stay. Boat slip was a bonus as I took my bass boat and did some fishing. Thankfully some catching as well. Overall, a very relaxing vacation in a nice lakeside cottage.

Spring Break!

  • 5 of 5

The Lake Cottage was the perfect place for our family to relax after busy days of sight seeing in Nashville! Sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee listening to the Loons in the morning, catching bass off the dock and watching beautiful sunsets sure beats any hotel in town! We would return, and recommend!

Beautiful Place to Stay!

  • 5 of 5

The house was amazing and very clean! The views in the morning are unbelievable and we were pretty close to the city. We went to a place in the city that was on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives called, Athens Family Restaurant and the food was to die for. As far as the house everything worked perfectly and almost all the amenities were provided! When we come back to nashville I will definitely be renting this house again! Thank You!!

Perfect place for off-season relaxation

  • 5 of 5

Perfect, quiet place for off-season get away. We are from Michigan and found the off-season weather to be warmer than our home town. The comfy cottage and the surrounding area was quiet and relaxing. We explored the area at our leisure and enjoyed many pleasant conversations with the locals. Had a special dinner out for our 25th anniversary and had a few BBQ nights at the cottage.
