Beautifully remodeled garden in-law apartment. Separate entrance.

New bathroom, kitchen, appliances, flatscreen TV and hardwood floors. Large windows that overlook a shared garden with patio furniture.

Fully furnished in pottery barn style.

Extremely comfortable Queen Bed with luxurious linens.

Full Kitchen, Cable TV, WIFI, Ipod docking station. New heating system to keep you warm during the foggy SF nights.

The Lake District neighborhood has world-class recreation, You are close to 3 fantastic beaches, Ocean beach, China beach or Baker beach.

You also have the Presidio golf course right across the street. The Richmond retains a neighborhood feel along its main shopping streets.

You can find Mexican, Russian, French and Italian restaurants with ease, not to mention a plethora of establishments serving food from every corner of Asia.

Lincoln Park: Most people know Lincoln Park for two things: The Palace of the Legion of Honor and the golf course. Fewer know about the park's easy access to Land's End and a portion of the Coastal Trail that runs about six miles along the bluff above the sea, from Baker Beach to Ocean Beach. Walkers along this path will be treated with incredible views.

Golden Gate Park:

The California Academy of Sciences Its fantastic, you have to go.

You simply must rent a boat in Stow Lake or explore the park by bike. Stow Lake Bike & Boat Rentals, 50 Stow Lake Dr.

M.H. de Young Museum.

We are also located a short drive to Marin County and only an hour to the quaint town of Sonoma and all the wine country has to offer.

You have all this right outside your front door and are only 15 minutes to downtown Union Square.

Several Muni Bus lines a block away.

The cheapest way to get to the apartment from SFO is a door to door Super Shuttle or Uber.

A taxi from the airport costs roughly $60 with tip. You do not really need a rental car, except if you wish to see the Wine Country or explore Marin. There is an Enterprise rental car company on Geary between 6th and 7th

Renting a zipcar by the hour or day is another option if you would like to explore outside of the city. Please visit zipcars website for more information.

A few things we would like to make you aware of

1) The cell service is not great inside the unit. Some people need to go to the patio to get clear service.

2) There is two hour street parking M-F from 9-5

We rarely see anoyone from the traffic department in our neighborhood but it is a risk to leave your car all day long

There is all day parking when you cross Geary street 3 blocks away.

About Liz and Luis Andarcia

We are frequent users of VRBO and it has allowed us to explore both domestic and international destinations. We love San Francisco and want to share it with fellow travelers. We live upstairs and are a very active family that enjoys all the SF and our neighborhood has to offer. We have a lot of suggestions for places to dine in SF and the neighboring towns. Triathlete with a lot of suggestions on the best places to train in the area. Also, a great location for those who want to compete in any of the marathons or triathlons in the city.

Why Liz and Luis Andarcia chose San Francisco

We love San Francisco and want to raise our family here.

What makes this studio unique

Our neighborhood is a great place to enjoy San Francisco like a local. There are wonderful parks, restaurants and museums within walking distance

Guestbook comments from the owner

I have certainly enjoyed my stay at "the cottage"

It is a wonderful alternative to a hotel room-very warm and homey. Thank you again.

Clean, conveninet, good location

  • 5 of 5

We arrived late at night and followed the instructions on the app to access the apartment. The apartment is great for a couple. The location is convenient to a lot of attractions and very quiet. We did have a car with us. The owners do not have a parking spot for the rental and you take your chance with getting street parking. We were lucky and always found a place to park within a block of the apartment. We did not see the owners as we were keeping late hours. We communicated by email during our stay and always received a quick response. This rental is a great alternative to a hotel room and you get much more for your money. We recommend this rental.

Clean, comfortable, close to everything

  • 5 of 5

On arrival, we followed instruction to enter the premises. We were welcomed to a clean, "like new", efficiency. Everything was just right for 2 people. The convenience of a full kitchen was wonderful. The bathroom was clean and complete. The location was very quiet. We could walk to nearby restaurants and a food market and attractions. Transportation was nearby.

It was perfect for us as we were attending a family function in the neighborhood.

We would highly recommend this to anyone.

Small but clean and a good value for San Francisco

  • 4 of 5

It's a bit of a transit ride out to the wharf from this location but it has a nice coffee shop and plenty of restaurants close by. Place is decent and clean and good for a single person or couple.
