Cottage, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)

Located on the northwest corner of Burt Lake, one of the most beautiful and biggest lakes in the state, I'm sure our cabin will provide wonderful place for the that vacation you deserve. The comfortable cottage as well as the lakefront grounds are well maintained.

Children and adults love to swim in the hardpacked sandy shoreline extending out over 200 feet before gradually dropping off into crystal clear water.

Nearby is a fire pit with wood provided, a dock, mooring anchor for your boat and plenty of space to relax and enjoy your stay. This is a shared area for the association; a fun place to meet new people.

Many of our clients have been renting from us for over 15 years and even come from as far away as Pennsylvania.

Conveniently located between Indian River and Alanson on the waterfront of Burt Lake near the mouth of the Crooked River (well known as an excellent fishing hole). ENTER an annual fishing contest every May Call 231-238-9325 for details. Enjoy the 45 miles of northern Michigan's Inland Waterway extending from Pickerel Lake to Lake Huron.

About The Owner

Tom & Nancy love Michigan living! Nancy was born and raised in Michigan Tom relocated from Pennsylvania more than 25 years ago. They both enjoy volleyball, golf, tennis & boating.

The Owner purchased this cottage in 2011

Why The Owner chose Northern Michigan

Burt Lake has been part of Nancy's life for almost 20 years. Burt Lake has always been her favorite spot to bring her family to enjoy their summer vacations year after year. Tom & Nancy decided to purchase this cozy cottage because of the great location and the warm and friendly atmosphere. They plan on bringing up their grand kids for many years to come.

What makes this cottage unique

The location of the cottage allows us to do many of our favorite activities without having to travel long distances. There is a Rails to Trials bike riding trial in Indian River that we have ridden to Wolverine and back (you can ride all the way to Gaylord). Traveling the inland waterway is a wonderful way to spend a summer day. Visit Crooked Lake, Burt Lake and Mullett Lake all in one day. You can even continue on through Cheyboygan onto Lake Huron and visit Mackinac Island. The water is clean and clear and has a very nice sandy bottom in most areas. You can take a short 40 minute drive to the Mackinaw Bridge and the ferries to the Island. We are also just 30 minutes to Petoskey and 15 minutes from Harbor Springs. The layout of the property is very conducive to family fun. The community common area is a great way to mingle and meet new people. The shoreline is very flat, with a very nice day dock for your boat. Come and enjoy days on end of boating fun!

Perfectly situated cozy cottage on a beautiful lake!

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderfully cozy cottage right on a big beautiful lake. The cottage was extremely clean and had all the necessary amenities. It would even be the perfect place for someone to stay just to "get away from it all"! In fact, I plan on returning by myself next summer to do just that...

This cabin is 2nd to none, I've been in a lot in 66 years, has it all plus the best owners you could ever rent from, but don't take my word and do not waist time looking.

Wonderful lakefront cottage!!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from our very relaxing trip to upper Michigan. This cabin is the most stocked, the cleanest, most inviting place we have ever stayed in! We were looking for quiet, peaceful, relaxing and we got it!! We rented a pontoon boat for two days and the bouys at the shared dock are very accommodating. The lake is marvelous! We actually met the president and treasurer of the Kings Point Resort and found them to be very friendly and informative. We shared several small bonfires with them. This could be a very lively place too. Would be great for families and kids. Lots of room to run and play. Basketball, volleyball, badminton, football, frisbee, boating, campfires, we even flew our kite off the back of our boat ;-)........All good clean fun. We will definitely be back soon!
