Me and friends stayed a total of 7 nights in the villa. Host was kind enough to let our 7th guest stay for 4 nights free. Location was fine for us as we rented motorbikes so its no trouble for us to get around. The living room was cosy and spacious. The kitchen were acceptable too. There were people who came by a few times to clean the pool as well. But without informing us in advance. we were shocked to see the gate opened when we came back from shopping but was relieved when we saw him by the pool, cleaning. We had problems with the rooms. There were spiderwebs when i looked up to the ceiling when i was trying to sleep, there were also spiderwebs at the corner of the beds. One of the door knobs of the room almost coming out from the door. The doors makes alot of noises when you open or close. The first few nights the lights at the swimming pool were spoiled. So it was very very dark. I didnt dare to open the door near the kitchen as there was like a whole breed of mosquitos hanging out there. Scary! The wifi was very very slow! It went off alot of times. Even the cable tv went off a few times. We experienced a black out once too. And we were quite disappointed as the host was not being flexible with us. We had to pay extra of 250k for late checkout. The best time they gave us was 11.30am. I had no choice but to pay for that 250k to extend as my bf wasn't feeling well and he needed to take a nap. The checkout timing was my biggest issue. The mosquitos, doors and spiderwebs didn't actually bother me that much as i have stayed at even worst conditions hotels.
value for money, the pool was of no use as the sun never went on it, so cold.
this was July/August. a guy neighbour with music was annoying during the day.
Unfortunately, my family and I did not have the best experience at this house. The local caretakers are kind and tried to fill our needs, but the mindset of the business operation is to wait until the customer complains about something before handling it; not proactive at all. Not an ideal business model for customer satisfaction.
If you are looking for a spacious place, this is it. There are three bedrooms, each can hold 2 people. The living room and dining room are also spacious. This is the property's best quality.
The house is located down an alley that is very dark at night. The larger road that it feeds to is currently torn up a bit due to some construction taking place nearby. We tried to be in before dark, but if we weren't, we carried flashlights so we could see where we were going.
The house does essentially look like the pictures, but it is not as new and crisp as the pictures portray. What the pictures don't show are the large cracks in the front and back door and the bathroom window where creepy crawlers come in at will. We even had a large lizard take up residence under one of the couches. Ants are also a problem. Toward the end of our stay, they had essentially taken over the kitchen despite our attempts to keep things completely clean and use bug spray. I couldn't prepare meals on the counter without having ants crawl into the food. The pots are in good shape, but the skillets are of a cheap quality and badly burned so any food you cook in them sticks to the bottom. We had to buy our own. There are no blankets on the beds, only sheets, so if you tend to get cool, bring your own. Generally, the beds are comfortable, but it was hard to sleep with the constant drone of motorcycles coming and going all night, the neighborhood dogs barking and the roosters crowing all the time.
The major issues we had at the house were these: the roof leaked in the kitchen and the bathroom when it rained. This happened about 3 times. The internet will go out when there is the least bit of a rain storm. This is a common problem I am told; however, I didn't have this problem at other places we stayed in Bali. Our electricity went out twice for several hours each time for some reason I was never able to understand.
I got tired of dealing with these issues - plus a few more like clogged up bathtub drains and door knobs that were broken - so we did not complete our stay here. We left before the 3 week mark so we could try and enjoy the rest of our vacation...
Let me start by saying that we were upgraded for free to this villa: http://www.travelmob.com/kuta-vacation-rentals-villa/4br-modern-traditional-villa-29991494000
Therefore, my review is really for the above villa, but I am sure based on my experience that staying at any of Brad's villas will be nothing but outstanding.
On arriving we were blown away by the quality of the villa. It was lovely and clean and beautifully furnished. I was staying with my Mum and we each had a very large bedroom with comfy beds. There was lots of cupboard and storage space along with desks and a spare bed in the room, perfect for trying to repack those overloaded suitcases.
Both rooms has spacious outdoor bathrooms, a unique luxury. The pool was spotlessly clean and a great way to relax after a big day. There was a nice little gazebo in the middle and the waterfall edge was a nice touch.
The location was right in the heart of Seminyak, just a quick stroll to the centre of it all but far a enough away it was peaceful and quiet. The staff who look after the villa were friendly and very helpful if we contacted them.
Overall, I could not of been happier and would definitely stay again if we head back to Bali.
