This cabin is located in a wooded area and has an enclosed hot tub that offers plenty of privacy. It is located 3 miles from Beavers Bend State Park and Broken Bow Lake which offers an array of things to do for the whole family including swimming, boating, jet skis, fishing, hiking, paddle boats, canoes, horse back riding, miniature golf course, coffee shop/Internet cafe.
We are very proud of Cedar Creek Golf Course that was voted the most beautiful municipal 18-hole course in the state.
Some of the other places to visit in the area include; Girls Gone Wine (the local winery and gift shop) Hochatown Junction.
We have 4 other cabins, check them out at Tomichi Cabins.
Here is an account of our experience in Tomichi 1.
The amenities were fine and the place appeared clean, however we discovered bed bugs in one bed. Upon a deeper inspection we found what looked to be lavae in the rest of our beds. We took a number of photos and bagged a dead one to give to the owners. We also took the neccessary precautions and thankfully didn't end up transporting any of them home. Given that, I only requested a partial refund. Helen, one of the owners, finally called me back and to inform us that "the bed bugs must have been brought in from somewhere else". Really? I guess I never realized that using bed bugs as a means to scam a company out of a partial refund was such a prevalent ruse. Sarcasm aside, had she been at least apologetic instead of rude, I would not be writing this. Since she denied our request, I hope they'll use those funds to remedy the bug problem.
We just got home from a fabulous trip with our family of 4. Price drew us to the cabin, so it was much nicer than we were expecting from the price! Clean, and while not as updated as some of the more expensive cabins it included everything we could possibly need. All kitchen equipment was included (even a crockpot, blender, toaster), linens, even charcoal for the grill and some firewood left out.
Cabin 1 had a master bedroom, second bedroom with bunkbeds, and a loft upstairs with twin beds, so we had more than enough room for our family of 4. The kids loved the bunkbeds.
Just a quick 5 minute drive to the Forest Heritage center of Beaver's Bend depot for hiking, riding, etc. Great firepit and hot tub, we used both. Nice and quiet street. We will return, hoping to stay longer next time!
This cabin is around the corner from the lake and state park. Beautiful inside, definitely sleeps 8. Wonderfully kept, spotless. Wonderful pond and quiet scenery outside. Helen was extremely helpful. Would go back again and stay in any of the Tomichi cabins.
