Peaceful, clean and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

Chesapeake Charm has all that you need for a restful getaway. The house is very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Snacks and drinks in the kitchen make a welcoming arrival. Very cosy during the cold weather this week. Great spaces outside to sit quietly, enjoy conversation and have fun. This little place is a gem right by the water.

All around best place we have stayed for vacation

  • 5 of 5

Couldn't of asked for a nicer, peaceful place to stay. Phil and Stephanie answered all our questions when we had them and love the little basket of goodies on the counter (nice idea). The house was clean and laid out nicely. Loved the use of the garage. Was great having a place to keep coolers, bait and to open both sides and steam and eat crabs out there. Nice breeze. Property is wonderful. Our dog loved it. Loved seeing deer all the time. Walked down to our private pier every morning and checked the crab pots and just sat and enjoyed the wonderful view. We brought our boat and it was so nice to be able to keep it there all week. Definitely would come back again and recommend the Chesapeake Charm to any of my friends.

Chesapeake Charm is the perfect name.

Phil and Stephanie could not have been nicer. They had crab pots baited with crabs already caught. The cottage was very nice, roomy and clean. Steps left us a nice snack baskets and some produce that tasted great. Even though it was very hot the days we visited, the a/c kept the cottage cool. The two kayaks that were there for our use were great. Lots of herons, osprey and deer. Even saw a ground hog. Everything we needed was there. Thanks for a much needed couple of days. We will be back.

The Perfect Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our day was fabulous. We didn't realize it would have everything all in one location. We went crabbing every day and every night and had a feast each night. The house was perfect for children as well. It had bicycles, corn hole, wiffleball with a large yard and two kayaks. We bright kites and footballs as well. Perfect area for kites! We grilled out, had smores at the fire pit and watched sunrises and sunsets on the pier and on the porches. The house was fully equipped with every kitchen item you would need as well as toiletries. Everyone agreed this was the best vacation yet. We will recommend this to family and friends and hope to come back soon. The owners know what they are doing!!

About Phil or Stephanie Langley

Phil and Stephanie are locals - born and raised in Southern Maryland. Phil is a coast guard approved, licensed charter boat captain who has worked as a commercial waterman. He has spent many years fishing, crabbing and oystering on the Chesapeake Bay. Their appreciation of country living on the Chesapeake watershed has prompted them to extend the Chesapeake Country experience to their fishing clients and others. Captain Phil is eager to share his knowledge - from catching fish to cookin' crabs!

Why Phil or Stephanie Langley chose Dameron

When the neighboring farm (Phil's parent's home) became available in 2010, the weekly rental idea stepped closer to reality! This property is a compilation of waterfront, pier, large yard, corn/bean fields, and a comfy - well appointed home - complete with beautiful sunsets and tranquil mornings.

What makes this house unique

It's a wonderful place to experience shore-side, country living - fishing, crabbing, kayaking, sit-n-sip sunset cruises (right next door), or simply enjoying a gorgeous sunset at the pier. Looking for the right spot for your next summer vacation; Fall get-away; that special occasion, or holiday treat? Chesapeake Charm is just the spot! It's just right for a get-away with the girls, a long fishing weekend for the guys, a vacation with the family, a 'new' Thanksgiving tradition or a Christmas retreat - the possibilities are endless.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you again for opening your home to us this year once again. The fishing and weather was outstanding. Our accommodations first class. We all love the outdoor education you provided to us from crabs to rockfish. A lot of people charter boats, but what you provide is an experience - from all the little touches in the house to the way you interact with clients. You are a cut above everyone else, by far. Looking forward to next year!
