Cape Cod Cottage Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedroom Cottage Close To The Beach

2 bedroom cottage in Provincetown on Commercial Street in the East End near the Truro border available for summer weekly rentals. The cottage has been fully renovated and is within 250 yards of the nearest town beach. It has a full size bed on the first floor and a queen size bed in the full size loft upstairs. Please note: the ceiling of the loft is 6 feet at its peak so this may be of concern for tall people. The cottage has a small but well equipped galley kitchen. the living room has a cathedral ceiling with a gas log fireplace. There are sliding glass doors off the living room that open to a deck and a very private back yard with an outside shower and is perfect for grilling or just hanging out. Please note: while we supply the blankets and pillows, you will need to provide your own linen, pillowcases or other bedding for the beds in the cottage you will be using. However, if needed, we can arrange for linen and towels to be provided to you through a rental service for a fee. You will also need to bring your own bath and beach towels as well as soap and shampoo. While the kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dining and silverware, you will need to bring any condiments or food that you need during your stay. There is an air conditioner upstairs in the loft and beginning in 2016 a mini split air conditioner that we have had installed for downstairs will be available to guests that stay during July and August. Also, please pay special attention to the picture of the bathroom we have provided. Even though the entire cottage was fully renovated, the bathroom is rather small and could be a problem for larger people.

Finally: Sorry, positively no pets, we only allow parking for one car during your stay and no more than 4 guests are allowed during your stay

About dan sardo

We are a married professional couple that live and work in the Boston area, we both grew up in Boston and went to school there and have been coming to Provincetown for years. It is our favorite place in the world.

dan sardo purchased this cottage in 2012

Why dan sardo chose Cape Cod

We decided to purchase this cottage last October so that we could enjoy the areas many pleasures more often. The beaches are spectacular, the restaurants are some of the best in the country and it is truly one of the most beautiful and unique places in the world

What makes this cottage unique

We fell in love with this cottage the first time we saw it. The closeness to the beach, the light as it streams into the windows and skylights that changes from morning until sunset are just some of the things we love about it. We spent a lot of time and effort restoring the knotty pine walls and the rest of the interior to the point we think that it is just perfect and hope you feel the same if you choose to rent it for a week.

Great vacations!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at your cottage. The weather was great so we did enjoyed the big outdoor shower. We had breakfast and dinner every day on the nice patio and cocktail in the garden among flowers. The place was clean, well equiped. Both air conditionner were welcome. The location was quiet most of the time except for some trucks passing by. Dan welcomed us at our arrival and was nice enough to drive us to the garage because we had a problem with the car.

Meticulously Appointed Cottage

  • 5 of 5

This cottage has it all. It is beautifully appointed. The cottage has modern amenities. It had everything we needed and more for a comfortable stay. It is clean, spacious with great lighting and ventilation. The secluded backyard is large with casual seating, a gas grill, beautiful plantings and flowers and a patio table with umbrella. You will see hummingbirds! We loved the outdoor shower, which was spacious. The beach is a short walk away and easily accessible. We enjoyed walking and biking from this cottage into Provincetown. Provincetown offers many great restaurants and shops. The National Seashore Beaches and biking trails are only minutes away. The owners greeted us on arrival giving us a tour and answering any questions we had. And enjoyed meeting the friendly cottage neighbors. This was a 5+ star experience! What a great vacation home away for home!

Thanks Dan and Joanne, expect us back next year!

Exactly as it's described!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful vacation at this quaint little cottage. The backyard garden was very relaxing and beautifully maintained. The bathroom was pretty small but the outdoor shower makes up for that on most days. The neighbors in the other cottages were extremely friendly. The loft bedroom will be pretty tight if you are tall but the first floor bedroom has plenty of head room. All amenities were modern including the brand new grill. The kitchen is small but has enough space to cook full meals. Having stayed in places closer into town we felt like part of the charm of this cottage is it's distance. It's just close enough to still be convenient but far enough to take advantage of the peace and quiet.

Thanks Dan and Joanne! Hope to see you next summer :)

Beach House Near Ocean, Nature, and Town!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, 14 month old son, and I had a blast in our little cottage by the beach! It was a perfect environment for a family seeking a quiet and private retreat in the evenings, but close proximity to whatever we might want to get into during the day. Only a little over a mile from downtown Provincetown, the location was very convenient and only minutes from all the town has to offer. We also enjoyed walks along the dunes in the Cape Cod National Seashore, and were able to walk to them from our front door. The cottage is also only about a block from a bay side beach, which we enjoyed walks to every evening.

While we went out to lunch every day, we enjoyed cooking on the grill and eating in the private back yard (full of flowers, hummingbirds, and various little trinkets) every evening. We also LOVED the outdoor shower - such a peaceful experience, not to mention a great way to clean up after a trek to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you might need and we never found ourselves looking for something that wasn't there (from wine/beer bottle opener, blender, cheese grater, to grilling utensils)

Dan was also very approachable, gave us a thorough tour of the space upon arrival, and told us not to hesitate to contact him should we need anything.

The only downside about our experience was having to say goodbye!

Lovely cottage close to main attractions

  • 5 of 5

Loved our stay at the Cottage near the beach. Everything in the listing was accurate and Dan, the owner, had sent detailed instructions on operating everything in the cottage. It made checking in/out very easy and hassle free. The cottage is on the smaller side but plenty of room for the four of us. We especially enjoyed the backyard patio and loved the outdoor shower.

A lot of the restaurants were open and we enjoyed everything from street food(thumbs up to the clam strips at Papa John's),pizza from Twisted Sister(has delivery)Farnizzi's for good food and lovely view and The Post Office for lunch-excellent hamburger, Reuben and fried scallops.

It's a lovely time of year to visit Provincetown-the town is waking up from the long winter, the paint brushes are out and the businesses are sprucing up the properties in anticipation of the crowds.

Thank you Dan for having us and we hope to be back again!
