Scarborough Gem!

  • 5 of 5

Just looking at the pictures brings back such great memories of our vacation! The kitchen island became the heart of the home for us, where we spent every evening unwinding ,laughing, cooking & drinking wine (or local beers). Rosetta McClain Gardens near the house became a morning & evening ritual. The park is alive with locals & tourists alike, with gorgeous views of Lake Ontario...just don't feed the squirrels or raccoons, they will follow you around! Jim & Linda were so pleasant & accommodating from the beginning of our search & throughout our stay! Thank you again!

Perfection!

  • 5 of 5

This lovely home was perfect for our family vacation! Beautiful furnishings and decor thru out. I have never rented a home wIth such a well equipped kitchen! There is not one pot or pan, utensil, appliance, spice, baking item, etc ., that is missing! Unbelievable. The location is a quiet residential neighborhood with very friendly neighbors. Including Alabama, the doggie next door! Very kid friendly with plenty of toys, riding toys and bikes in garage, swing set in the beautiful, fenced back yard. Great deck and hot tub as well! About 20 min drive to downtown and few minutes to the subway station, which we used a lot. Great transportation system, clean, and people always willing to help. To the east about 10 minutes are parks and the bluffs which is a beautiful, peaceful place to relax and picnic. We have rented a lot of vacation homes and this one is tops! You will not be disappointed! And did I say how awesome the owners are?! So very helpful with directions and restaurant suggestions, which was very much appreciated!

Beautiful garden, modern kitchen, quiet street

  • 5 of 5

Our group included 2 adult couples and 4 young adult children ages 17 and up. We had plenty of room, including at the dining room table that comfortably sat eight people. We enjoyed the garden every day and appreciated the bird seed the owner left to keep the feeders full for optimum bird viewing. The property was an easy drive along the lake into town, allowing us the opportunity for many trips into the city as well as an exploration of the east side of Toronto including the beautiful Beaches neighborhood. The kitchen was well laid out and very well stocked. We had room for all 8 of us to participate in the cooking. We had spotty wireless/cable service for the first two days, but it stabilized after that. The owners met us on arrival and provided many helpful suggestions about grocery stores and area attractions. This is a great rental property for a family group.

Perfect Getaway Home!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful clean home in a wonderful neighborhood. The house was fully equipped with all the things you'll ever need to feel comfortable and have a good time. Enjoyed the hot tub, ventured onto the scenic nearby trails, and relaxed in the backyard patio amidst the shade of tall trees. Nothing less than a perfect home away from home experience!

Amazing, Fantastic, Beautiful.

  • 5 of 5

Where to start, we booked this house for two families of 4 plus a grandma and have to say the house was large enough for us all. We were met by Linda and Jim who were both lovely and tried to tell us everything we would need to know.

The house is fantastic, so much room and has everything you could possibly need, we spent most of our time in the kitchen around the island it was so big. The gardens are beautiful and we spent most mornings at the front having coffee on the porch or the back watching the local wildlife. We were visiting relatives who all wanted to have this house as their own, as someone else said its better than the pictures.

The house is in a lovely neighbourhood just off a main road that leads into the city centre, we have to say that we had no problems driving into the city, or you could take the car(we didn't look into the bus) to the nearest street car (about 1 mile away)and take this into town. Again we took the car to the large supermarket about 1 mile away easy to get to, or there was a supermarket just up the road but not as big but has everything.

We found this was the perfect house for us, near enough to the city but in a quiet location, easy to get around the city or to other places, a house that was beautiful and welcoming and lovely relaxing garden with a great hot tub to relax in after a long day sightseeing. We've had a most amazing family holiday and we would return to this house tomorrow if we could.

What a beautiful, spacious and comfortable home!

  • 5 of 5

If we are ever back in Toronto, Linda and Jim will be hearing from us! They were gracious hosts- the gardens in the backyard were beautiful. Our kids loved riding their bikes to the parks nearby and being not too far from downtown was great.
