About Dick and Bonnie Miller

Bonnie's grandparents homesteaded the ranch in 1908. It has remained in the family for over a hundred years and still operates as a cattle ranch. Bonnie and I returned to the Black Hills from Denver in the late 90's and decided that this is where we want to stay. We look forward to sharing this beautiful spot in the Hills and making new friends as we do so.

Dick and Bonnie Miller purchased this house in 2010

Memorable Stay in the Black Hills

  • 5 of 5

Our family of five spent four wonderful days and nights at Bonnie and Dick's ranch in the Black Hills. It would be no exaggeration for me to say that this is one of the loveliest properties in the country. The house was spacious, immaculate and well-supplied with everything we needed to keep us refreshed, well-fed, entertained and well-rested. And Bonnie and Dick were so very gracious and welcoming. The ranch property itself was stunning - secluded in it's own special way, while sitting quite literally on the doorstep of Custer State Park. The kids enjoyed the herd of Black Angus cattle the roam the property; my wife and I loved the starry skies in the evening.

Hidden Gem

  • 5 of 5

I want to keep this hidden gem a secret for I fear it will be booked when my family and I want to return.

Great location and perfect accommodations for families who want to enjoy the beautiful Black Hills. The house has everything you will need and the owners were absolutely the most gracious hosts. Plenty of room for the kids to play and discover wildlife. A short drive to Custer State Park where we enjoyed seeing buffalo, a herd of Elk, deer, turkeys, burros, and prairie dogs. We can't wait to return.

Owner's Response: Glad you enjoyed your stay in our home. We enjoyed having your family. We would love to have you join us when the family wants to get together for a western South Dakota vacation. Hope the farming weather is good. Enjoy the rest of 2017.

This house was perfect for our family of 10 in the Black Hills. It was centrally located to all the sights we wanted to hit, and the layout of the kitchen, dining area, and living room were quite spacious. Dick and Bonnie were very gracious hosts!

Beautiful house and surroundings.

  • 5 of 5

The owners are nice people who welcomed is when we arrived. The house is on 1 level, which was a great help to us. We were a party of 11, including my wheelchair bound mother in law. We did not feel cramped at all, the rooms were nice sized. I would recommend this place for a family reunion.
