Sugar white sands and blue water are the main attractions in this beautiful paradise. Emerald green forests surround the property giving one the feeling of peace and privacy, and the beach is right out your door. Walk in the woods, go for a sailing adventure, or relax by a bonfire on the beach!

This is an amazing location that will have you coming back again and again on a pristine white sandy beach on West Grand Traverse Bay. Singing Sands is named as such because when you walk on the sand it 'sings' to you. This cozy 4 bedroom 3 bath rustic cabin will sleep 8 with 2 Queen, 2 Full. Home is 2 levels with 3 bedrooms upstairs and one on the lower level. Fully stocked kitchen. Flat Screen TV/VCR/DVD. No Cable. Washer/Dryer. Charcoal Grill. Linens are included. Pets considered. Location is private in a wooded setting that opens to the beach. Big deck off of living room. Peace and quiet and spectacular in beauty. Minutes to the village of Northport where you can pick up groceries, gift shop, dine or have some beach fun at the marina. The town of Omena has a great winery and bar, art gallery and country grocery store. Pick up fresh local produce through the county. 15 minutes to Leelanau Lighthouse. Short drive to the casino. Lake Michigan is a great location for beach-combing and rock collecting. Traverse City is a half-hour away. Omena is home to a bird sanctuary for bird watchers. This is a magical place for an equally magical vacation. Your well mannered pet will be considered (please ask when booking).

Excellent location!

  • 4 of 5

This was our second year staying at one of Chris and Jessica's homes. Preferred the cabin last year as it had less carpet and therefore was less musty. However, the location, deck, beach cannot be beat. The kitchen is fit for warming up leftovers and that's about it. Very responsive owners.

Great price, helpful owner and caretaker, only issue was hot water in bathrooms!

  • 4 of 5

The owner and caretaker were only a call away! The master bedroom is gorgeous. The only issue was the hot water. It would work in the kitchen sink, but none of the showers had hot water. It was pretty rough taking icy showers for a few days!!!!

Nice home on the beach.

  • 5 of 5

I wish we could have had more time to hang out at the house, instead of being gone all day. But it was nice after a day out to come back to the house and hang out by a fire on the beach. The house was nice and was clean, including the sheets and towels. If we're back in the area, we'll stay again!

Nice location, but issues with the home

  • 2 of 5

This is a nice location 30 minutes north of Traverse City with a private spot on the water. Quiet and peaceful. But we struggled to get hot water in the showers. The home is quite old and has a variety of issues such as uncovered electrical boxes, bathroom windows with no window covering, and a water heating system that doesn't distribute heat evenly through the home. The home also is musty which is not unusual for a home of this age. So if your priority is a peaceful waterfront location, then this could work for you. The owners are responsive, but our two day stay wasn't long enough to resolve the issues. Maybe not a place to stay at the beginning of the season.

Owner's Response: William, thank you for your feedback. The issues you mention are all being addressed. Living so far away from the property, we always appreciate it when renters report any issues so that we can address them promptly.

Fun at Singing Sands

  • 4 of 5

We and 2 other couples stayed here for a long weekend early September. The place is rustic and older but worked well for 6 people. Could probably sleep more but would be tight. Beautiful sunrises, a nice calm bay for kayaking, Suttons Bay and Northport both bike-able, so we had a very active and fun time.

Great location, access to beach, campfire on beach.

  • 4 of 5

Rate it 3.5 - 4; our adult children loved it (ages 27-33). Access to water (beach) was awesome. Campfire on the beach at night is incredible. Close to lots of activities such as hiking, kayaking, shopping etc. Great memories were made for sure. I myself (parent) would've liked a bit more updated place and one that doesn't have musty smell. Cool art though. All in all, a good place to rent.
