This property is located approximately 20 minutes from downtown Phoenix & only 3 miles from the Cardinal Stadium. This Townhouse is located in a quiet family friendly community with a golf course only 2 blocks away. You will find this home to be both comfortable & relaxing with its industrial loft design & state of the art technology. The living room is equipped with a 46 inch HDTV & theater seating, great for watching movies or just regular TV. All bedrooms are equipped with 24 inch LCD TVs. There are 2 bedrooms located upstairs that share a full bath & 1 bedroom located in the sunken level with a 3/4 bath. There is a patio with a gas grill & dining table. There is also a game room & office area located in the sunken level. This townhouse is located right next to the pool & clubhouse area (it is only a few steps away). The house is equipped with Digital Cable & Wireless High-Speed Internet service. This place is fully stocked & has everything to make it a great 'Home Away from Home'.

BEWARE OF THIS ONE! Not even One Star

Whatever is being paid to the cleaning service is too much. When we arrived we used the lower bathroom. The towels weren't hanging neatly on the rod as clean ones should have been. I checked the hand towel and it was damp from use. Obviously not clean towels. The coffee maker in the kitchen still had used coffee grounds and filter in the unit. The refrigerator and microwave hadn't been cleaned. The upstairs bathroom floor hadn't been mopped. There was dust and powder on the floor along the baseboards and behind the toilet was disgusting. Also the toilet needed a good cleaning at the base and around the hinges of the seat.

The three bedrooms had linens that look like they had been purchased from a thrift shop. I spent the next day after our arrival laundering one entire bed including a comforter and some towels to make sure we had clean linens. This unit is very dark and dingy. The commercial stairs are impossible to use without shoes...socks don't even help. The closets didn't have doors. The patio table was dirty as was the concrete. The added touch was four automobile wheel rims stacked in the corner.

We have stayed at several VRBO properties and never experienced anything like this. We considered contacting the owner but wouldn't have wanted the cleaning service in the unit with our personal property to correct the situation.

Owner's Response: When I first read this review it angered me. I have been in the vacation rental business for 10+ years now and have never received a "1 star" rating. I take pride in making all my homes unique and comfortable. I guess that's why this review angered me at first, because it is kind of like calling someone's baby ugly. This property is designed as an industrial loft, and that design is not everyone's taste(obviously not for this reviewer). Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but what is disappointing in this case, was that this guest never gave me an opportunity to make things right for them (I never received any type of feedback until I received this angry review). While I may not agree with this reviewer's comments or opinions, I have heard everything that was stated and taken all things into advisement and consideration. The cleanliness of my homes is extremely important to me and I have shared, reviewed, and discussed this reviewer's comments with my cleaning staff. We obviously need to step up our game in that area, based on this reviewer's comments. I hope you don't let this one negative review overshadow all the great things about this property. If you like industrial loft style living, I believe you will love this property! At the end, you have my commitment to being always available, if a need should arise.

Good value for the budget traveller

This is a very good vacation rental for the budget minded traveler. The location is very good, just 2 miles off the freeway and near Cardinal Stadium. It is also about 4 miles from the Westgate Entertainment District with many restaurants to choose from. Within the ‘Discovery’ complex the unit is ideally located, very near the pool and near enough to the trash dumpsters. Note the pool is too cold for swimming in February but the pool and the surrounding patio are very clean and well maintained.

The rental has 3 bedrooms with futon style beds. I have a bad back but had no problems with these beds finding them comfortable. The floors are polished concrete. The stairs up and down are industrial metal and the treads are hard on feet if you are not wearing shoes or slippers. The owner has done a good job of using the available space. A tall metal shelving unit in the kitchen contains a great selection of quality cooking pans and enough plates and bowls to serve 6 guests. There are all the other utensils you would expect to find at home. A drip coffee maker and dishwasher complete the kitchen.

The owner is very good at responding to communications and came out to the unit to repair a minor plumbing problem. All in all this rental is very good value.

Excellent Condo with Lots of Space

We stayed here on spring break in 2014. It was myself, my husband, our daughter and father. I loved that there were 3 bedrooms, all with TV's, the beds were comfy and queen size. This condo was spotless!!! We cooked meals every night and grilled out. My daughter and I used the pool often, but it was very cold and not heated. I liked it best on 90 degree days. My daughter swam in it every day. It, too, was very clean. We liked the location because it was close to family in Peoria, and close to many attractions and restaurants. I highly recommend this condo. Just be sure to wear shoes on the metal stairs.

Awesome and Spacious place!

Loved this unique, upscale place! Close to restaurants, outlets, stadium. Everything you need is here - plenty of space to enjoy a weekend with friends. Owner is easy to work with - will definitely recommend to friends/family and be back in the future!
