What a awesome get away vacation for our family we did not want to leave will be planning on coming back to this vacation home next August for 2 weeks next year very very clean thank you for that didn't need anything it was perfect beautiful setting pool was awesome loved the gazebo seen sharks and dolphins when you come across this home book your stay you will be glad you did our family comes down every year this is the best place we have stayed can not wait to come back !!!!!
Our family enjoyed a wonderful stay at Seaglass. As another reviewer mentioned, the pictures don't do it justice. The home is beautifully decorated, spotless and comfortable. The well equipped kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals and our family of 5 had plenty of room to spread out. Renter tips:You will be provided with an initial set up of paper products, so a trip into the local WalMart for groceries and supplies is a must. Also, there is a sleeper sofa which isn't mentioned in the listing. This was good to know since we have a couple of older boys who weren't interested in sharing a bed!
My only word of "caution" is that it is very secluded and the closest stores and restaurants are 15-20 min away. If you're a family who likes to be constantly on the go, likes attractions like mini golf, waterparks, etc to be close by, or even gathering shells on the beach, then this would not be the ideal place for you. However, if you like to get away from it all, and have a completely peaceful and uncrowded setting, then Seaglass is perfect. Because our weather was chilly, we just piled everyone in the car and went on a shrimp boat in Biloxi (pretty cool!), to a Gator Farm in Pascagoula and also to Jefferson Davis' retirement home. There's plenty to do if you've willing to drive a little while.
We had a great time and throughly enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend this vacation home to anyone looking to get away from it all in Mississippi!
We loved our week stay in this beautiful beach house. The house is even better in person, the pictures really don't show how pretty it is or how large the living room and kitchen area are. All of the bedrooms were nice sized and the beds were more comfortable than my beds at home. The views were just beautiful. We especially loved the pool and outside areas. There were several outside sitting areas and cabana with little lights for nighttime, very relaxing. As another review stated, the pool liner could use a little work but it didn't stop us from using it every day either. There were lots of pool and sand toys for us to use which was nice as we didn't have room to bring much. The house is very secluded which was wonderful, we never worried about bothering anyone and always felt very safe. Since it is secluded though, it's about a 15 minute drive to get to a grocery store or restaurant or anything and that took some planning on our part but was well worth it. We went to the nearby gator farm, Ship Island and drove into New Orleans for a day. We especially loved CJ's Seafood in Ocean Springs. It's not a fancy place so don't let the looks deceive you, the food is delicious. We loved our stay here and would love to come back someday.
This our our second time to stay on a beach in Ocean Springs, but our first time at Seaglass. The home is larger than it looks, was very clean, and had everything we needed for a wonderful trip. When they say private beach, it is truly private. We saw a total of 6 people during our entire stay. Even with the beach only steps away, we spent most of our time in the pool and cabana.
There is really not a reason to leave, but you are within 15 minutes of being in downtown Ocean Springs with all of the shopping and dining options you could ask for.
We will be back.
This was our second stay at Seaglass and it was wonderful. We were looking for relaxation and that is exactly what we got. Great access to the beach and we used the pool every day along with the cabana. I saw one review comment that the beach was not good for laying out on -- I would disagree. We went out there every day the sun shined and were very happy with it. No crowds, good sand, what more could you want? The house itself is very nice with a great kitchen, great beds, laundry, huge master bath. Just fantastic. We simply love this place -- if it wasn't 16 hours from Kansas, we would visit every year. I would enthusiastically recommend Seaglass.
