Cozy cottage near the heart of old Lake Stevens. It was nice to come home to

  • 4 of 5

It is a good size home. It is decorated nicely. The space heaters warmed it quickly during our November stay. The attic room with 4 single beds is perfect for older children, teens, or single adults. The two down stairs bedrooms have high ceilings that reminded me of grandma's house. The linens were clean and crisp. I prefer a firmer matrice, but slept comfortable. The home is close to the road, so cars can be heard all hours of the night, probably due to graveyard shifts at Boeing. The living and dining rooms were perfect for meals and watching football. The closed up house smelt stale at first, but we solved that with plug in air fresheners. Also we had to buy a blow dryer and hangers. The towels were clean and ample. Overall, we were pleased with the quality and value of the home. We would stay there again.

Cute, clean, comforable!

  • 5 of 5

This house provided the perfect place to call home for a week. The kitchen had all the necessary pots, pans and dishes. It was great to have access to the washer and dryer. The beds were comfortable and the living room furniture and TV provided a perfect place to relax after a long day. Everything was pleasantly clean. We had our morning coffee on the deck every morning...when it wasn’t raining…it was perfect. The Lake Stevens area is quaint with a small town feel. There is close access to shopping from a big chain grocery store to the many road side farmers markets. Lake 22 is just down the road and provides a great day of hiking. The drive into Seattle is not too far and made for great all day excursions from Pikes Place Market one day and renting scooters in downtown Seattle to take the ferry to Bainbridge Island for more scootering, shopping and seafood. And the homeowner responded to my e-mails, was accommodating and easy to work with. Our family had a wonderful time.

The property is clean and well maintained. We had all of our wants and needs met. The listing description was accurate and we found the property to be as described. We had a very enjoyable stay; We would certainly recommend the property to friends and family and look forward to future opportunities to stay here again.

Perfect place!

  • 5 of 5

We are here for the Ironman 70.3, and while I'd like to say all bad things to discourage anyone from renting it before us for 2016, I just can't. Perfect location, every amenity you could need in a home, the beds are like sleeping at a four star hotel (linens, duvet, mattress, all wonderful), lots of parking, roomy living room, and everything looks modern instead of slightly run down (like it can in some home rentals), the upstairs room has plenty of space for four people and the twin beds, and the owners have been great to work with. The only complaint I have is the can opener doesn't work very well. It it says a lot when the only complaint a person has is about a can opener. There is no air conditioning so make sure to bring fans just in case the weather gets warm. We we certainly be renting it again next year, and possibly the house next door as well. Thank you!

A Memorial Weekend to Remember

  • 5 of 5

Our family rented both Red Cedar and Knotty Pine Cottage for a nice little reunion. When the sun managed to poke its head out, we were able to stroll to the cute little downtown area, admire the lake and pick up groceries for our dinner. Then we all had the chance to sit outside and visit without other people coming in and out like you would have it in a hotel.

All 14 of us had plenty of space to spread out and relax, and there wasn't a thing missing as far as having enough dishes, cookware, linens, etc.

Both cottages were nice and clean and looked freshly painted. The owners were so easy to make the all the arrangements with and are very friendly, both via email and over the phone. We definitely will come back again - thanks for the memorable weekend!
