Rina... You have a beautiful house. Our entire family enjoyed the stay at your comfortable and inviting home. Everything was very clean, wonderfully decorated, and well thought out. The kids played ping pong and watched TV as the adults cooked and talked by the fire. Thanks for allowing us to rent your home. Hopefully we'll have the opportunity to do it again soon.
There were people in our group and the feeeling was unanimous, this is the ideal ski house for those wishing to go to Okemo. Plenty of room and all the extra touches that made it feel like we were in our own home. I can highly recommend this home and hope to be back next season.
That's what my kids said when we were leaving. "We want to live here forever.'" So great. Lovely home, great experience, owner was helpful, loved every detail of the home, and I would love to go back. Highly recommend it. We live in Florida so going to Vermont in February was intense but so worth it. There is a hill next to the house (I'm assuming it's part of the driveway) and it was covered in snow. We spent more time going down that hill than at the resport. I'm glad we did the resort since it was our first time ever BUT did NOT need to. All the fun we needed was at the house.
Along with a few friends, our grown daughter and her boyfriend we spent the week starting August 14 in your home on Lake Pauline. We had a terrific time and really enjoyed being in the house which is so comfortably and attractively furnished and appointed.
We especially appreciated the gift of wine and coffee you provided and the other many courtesies you and your staff provided for us. We have rented homes in the Berkshires and Vermont a number of times over the last 10 years but have not found anyone who goes to such lengths to make their guests feel so welcome. We really appreciated those touches.
And the fishing for Bass in Lake Pauline was pretty good.
So thanks and best regards,
Dee-Ann and David Fox
Our family spent a summer weekend here and had a great time. The house is beautifully maintained and decorated, and very spacious. The kitchen has everything you need, and the barbecue right on the porch is great (we got a lot of use out of it). We spent a lot of time using the kayak and canoes on the lake. The owner, Rina, has obviously taken great care of the place, and was very helpful via email. I would highly recommend this place to anyone with a large family (or multiple families) looking to spend some time in nature! We certainly hope to come back!
Our family of four, including two boys aged 10 and 7, loved staying in this sunny, comfortable, immaculately clean home! For starters, all of our beds were incredibly comfortable so we all slept like babies. Each bedroom had fluffy white towels placed in an obvious location so that there was no need to search around for these necessities. The kitchen is stocked with all the pots and pans, mixing bowls and utensils necessary to make a splendid meal, and has plenty of space for storing your own groceries and produce. The common room is both cozy and roomy, thanks to the decorating prowess of the owner who clearly has a great sense of movement in space. There is a fantastic regulation sized ping pong table on the lower floor where our small ones learned the pleasures of knocking a ball back and forth across it's expanse and my husband and I had some rousing games while the boys slept in the sweet little loft bedroom upstairs, far away from the noise. The bottom floor also has a full kitchen, which was useful during those games as we didn't need to interrupt play to retrieve another beer! The house itself is situated perfectly to get to the area's most interesting attractions. Antiquing, alpine sliding, tubing, hiking, biking, are all a short beautiful drive away. Obviously, there is also boating right off the dock. I highly recommend this house!
We loved our stay at the house! It had everything we needed, and it was extremely clean. During our stay, the weather was extremely cold (-13, and felt like -30 with the wind chill), but we didn't feel it in the house. The heat worked wonderfully, and the windows must be incredibly insulated, because we never heard the strong 30-40mph wind.
Also, the proximity to Okemo/Jackson Gore is a huge plus. We skied every day of our stay, and it was so easy to go back and forth from the mountain to the house all day long. It was also really easy to go to town, get groceries, go the pharmacy, find restaurants, etc.
The owner was a pleasure to work with, and she responded quickly to any inquiry before and during our stay.
We had a great long weekend!
