This spacious two story home nestled in a quiet historic neighborhood at the base of Diamond Head. The second story has a long lanai with views of Diamond Head. This home has 3 bedrooms with a study that can also be used as a bedroom. All bedrooms are air conditioned. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and an attached study that has a queen sized bed. Bedroom 2 has a queen size bed and bedroom 3 has a full size bed. The backyard has a weber gas grill and an outdoor dining set. The downstairs has two large living rooms, a dining room, a fully equipped kitchen breakfast nook, and laundry area. Everything you need to feel right at home. White sand beaches are just a short walk from the house with great swimming. We have mask and snorkels, body boards, a large cooler and beach chairs all for your convenience at the house. Waikiki is a nice leisurely stroll along the ocean and beautiful Kapiolani park. This home is close enough to all the action Waikiki has to offer but also far enough away from it all when you just want to relax. The location is very central in terms of getting around the island and sightseeing as well.
Our family of five and a close family friend stayed in the property for a week. As others have noted, the location is fantastic and the facilities are first rate. We hired a car for the week too, so the off street parking was a bonus. Maggie and Tim were great communicators and excellent hosts. Maggie even went to the trouble of giving us a call at the house on the morning we arrived to make sure everything was OK and provide us with any advice we might need for our stay. I couldn't recommend the property or the owners more highly. Will definitely stay again.
This is a wonderful home in the traditional Hawaiian style. You can open the sliding glass doors to the backyard and enjoy a gentle trade wind breeze through the living room. Kitchen does have all the utensils you could want for cooking. Barbecue was great for grilling. A wonderful set-up for enjoying the cocktail hour and cooking a meal as well as conveniently located for going out to eat. Great location down the street from Kapiolani Park, 5 minute walk to the Outrigger Canoe Club, two blocks from an excellent surfing beach.
Good for families. Safe neighborhood. Teenagers can walk to the beach.

This is an excellent property minutes from Waikiki and Diamond Head, just 20 minutes east from the airport. Ten minute walk to Waikiki Beach and all the area has to offer. Five minute drive to Diamond Head and 20, at most, to Hanauma Bay, the Blowhole and Sandy Beach.
Property has everything you need including boogie boards, snorkeling gear, towels, chairs, etc. Condiments and every kitchen utensil you could want. There's a nice Weber gas grill and the tank had plenty of fuel. It's a great home to be able to cook meals, socialize and still have your own space. All you have to do is show up, bring your stuff and you'll be all set. Literally, everything else is already there which is much nicer than a rental property with just a few odds and ends.
Cost is very reasonable, given the location. It's a perfect place to stay if you're taking a family-style trip to Hawaii. The owners take great care of the property and were fantastic to work with. The best endorsement I can offer is that I wouldn't think twice about renting the property again or recommending it to family or friends.
Had a wonderful time staying at this property which worked out perfect for 2 families. Location is fantastic just close enough to the hustle and bustle of Waikiki but a step away to not feel to overwhelmed. I would recommend this property to all who would like to stay in Oahu. We thoroughly enjoyed our 8-day stay at Tiare House. Seven total people, 3 generations ranging in age from 17 to 79. The house is spacious, comfortable and well-appointed with kitchen equipment, linens, beach gear and nearly anything you might need to make your stay enjoyable. The house is in very close proximity to several parks with beach access as well as to additional beach access between houses. It is also within a healthy walk to Waikiki and its shopping and restaurants. Maggie is an absolute dear and was very attentive to the few needs we had. Our daughter and her best friend thoroughly enjoyed their high school graduation trip to Hawaii, my in-laws and our son are still raving about their first trip to Hawaii, and my husband and I in full agreement that we'll be back and will look to stay at Tiare House again. We highly recommend this location.
We had a wonderful stay here with 6 adults and 2 children under 3 years old. The room configurations were perfect for our family's needs. Tim & Maggie were easy to get a hold of when we had questions and very accommodating with our requests. The house is exactly as shown in the pictures. Parking is tight in the second spot so if you rent 2 large vehicles, the second vehicle may not fit. The location is walking distance to the beach, eateries, and main hotel/shopping strip. There were lots of beach towels, toys, chairs, and boogie boards provided in the shed or closet. We would definitely stay here again.
Throughout the years, Waikiki has become the tourist mecca of the Pacific. Located on the South Shore of Oahu, Waikiki and its white sand beaches were home to the legendary surfer, Duke Kahanamoku. Approximately 1.5 miles long, this famous stretch of beach is perfect for both water enthusiasts and beach goers alike. Over the years, the busy streets of Waikiki have become filled with a variety of luxury apartments, hotels and world-class shopping locations; some of which include, the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, Luxury Row and the DFS Galleria. Located along the iconic Waikiki Beach, Kalakaua Avenue can be considered to be the ”Main Strip”: Home to high-end hotels such as the Moana Surfrider, along with world class shopping opportunities such as the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, and DFS Galleria. In contrast, the less glamorous Kuhio Avenue is comparable to Las Vegas’s “Old Town”: Home to the Waikiki Trade Center and some of the neighborhood’s more colorful and long standing restaurants, and nightlife.
Besides the hundreds of dining and shopping opportunities, there are also a number of attractions and activities that the whole family can enjoy. At the east end, is the Honolulu Zoo and Waikiki Aquarium, where visitors can visit and learn about some of Hawaii’s native land and aquatic residents. On the west end, families will also enjoy the Hawaii Army Museum at Fort DeRussy, along with nightly hula shows, weekly Friday night fireworks at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and movie nights at “Sunset on the Beach“.

Once filled with swamps and agricultural lands, the slopes of Diamond Head have transformed over the years to become one of Oahu’s premiere luxury neighborhoods on the south shore of the island.
