About George Floyd

Why George Floyd chose East End
The great thing about this home is the proximity to the center of the island. The beach, Café Blue Parrot, is a short stroll down the beach from the house. All other restaurants, grocery stores, curio stores, gift shops and equipment rentals are within just a few blocks. The lighthouse and park are visible from the yard and only three blocks away.
What makes this House unique
This home is at the midway point on the bike path that runs the entire length of the island. It is a two-hour round-trip ride in either direction. It is a short ride to the stores for grocery shopping or dinner There are other great bicycle rides along the back roads of Pine Street and other bay roads that offer great adventures exploring the older parts of the island. It is also very close to the bridge where the old bridge fishing pier is great for riding or wetting the hook. The palm studded lot, outdoor hammock and extra-large yard make this a spacious and comfortable location with a good deal of privacy. The screen porch under the dock with the nearby grill is a shady and cool respite for dining with an eight-seating table and lounge chairs with ferns and other greenery.

Perfect house for our family!
We loved staying here! The location is perfect! The way the railing goes all around the house and out to the beach made it so perfect for the kids and the dog. Whenever I had any questions, the owner was quick to respond and so helpful! I am sure I will be booking this house again for next summer just as soon as we know our vacation dates!
Nice open floor plan. Kitchen and bathrooms very dated but really the draw for this house is the location.
You couldn’t ask for a better beach view and it’s within walking distance to many things. Property manager very easy to work with. We would stay here again.
We really enjoyed our vacation at this property. The home is older, as described, but we were happy with everything that it had to offer. The owners were extremely receptive to any concerns - the dryer went out while we were there, and they replaced it the same day!
The location was superior! We were able to walk to the shops one day, and the beach was not crowded at all!
We would highly recommend this property!
Home away from home!
Great location, peaceful, and perfect for our family which included 3 80+year olds, 2 twenty-somethings, & 2 in our fifties. The elevator was not working during our visit, but the stairs were manageable. The house was clean, roomy, and felt very home-like! Chelsie, the property manager was especially helpful!
Great older home right on beach
Older home as pictured. The location is great, close to town and right on beach. Had some light bulbs out and the owner came right over to address the lights.
Dolphin tours, Maritime Heritage tours, Out Island tours, wood boat school, golf cart access.
