About Amy Sage

My name is Amy Sage. I established the first vacation rental home in the Bitterroot Valley with the SweetSage Guest House in 1999. As a stay-at-home mother of three children ages 9-18, I have gradually expanded my vacation rental business to manage other nearby properties while still allowing myself to be home for my family. I am dedicated to providing my guests with the best the Bitterroot has to offer with clean, quiet, private surroundings and all the comforts of home.

Amy Sage purchased this lodge in 2010

Why Amy Sage chose Bitterroot Valley

The owners have lived and worked in Asia for many years. They bought this lodge as a retreat from their crazy lives. When they are back in the States with their families they always make a point of getting some solitude at this beautiful property.

What makes this lodge unique

This property is perfectly situated to make you feel like you are deep in the Montana Mountains but in fact you are only a 5 minute drive into Hamilton where you can do all your grocery shopping, antiquing, or just relaxing with friends at the local coffee shop.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Hey we stayed at Robert's lodge in October and we had an absolutely wonderful time. Hamilton is a great town to just kick back and relax. The scenery is absolutely stunning and the property has been decorated with high end furnishings and is surrounded by trees and wildlife. You will think you are in your own private forest! I rate this experience a 6 star on a scale of 5.

Excellent

We've stayed in several cabins in the area for our annual family reunion. This one is by far our favorite, and we plan on returning. Everything is great quality in the cabin, and the bedrooms were even nicer than the pictures show.

Beautiful home, lovely location, FANTASTIC property manager

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I had a lovely weekend at this vacation rental. The property is very well-appointed, and in a wonderful location. It was really a special treat to be able to spend a mini-vacation here.

I would really like to give a GREAT review to Amy Sage, the property manager. She was fabulous to work with. She was attentive to our needs, as well as quite personable. I look forward to renting VRBO property from her in the future.

We loved our stay! It was very peaceful and relaxing! Everything we needed was provided and we had so much room for the fourteen of us, including four busy kids! It was perfect and we look forward to coming back someday! Thank you!

Beautiful property!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for my husband's parents' 50th anniversary, all their kids and grandkids were there. This house was spacious enough to fit all of us, and one of the master bedrooms was used by the anniversary couple. There were 2 masters and both were gorgeous. We loved the property, it was very private and had lots of outdoor space to play games, or to just hang out together. We had a problem in that there was a fire nearby the 2nd day we were there that suddenly came up in a valley close by. We were pretty nervous about it, and ended up evacuating that night. Luckily the property manager was able to let us use one of the other properties about 20 minutes away. It was much smaller and many of us were on the floor, but it worked out. We went back that next day to the Hamilton property and stayed the night. However the following day we evacuated again, as the fire was coming closer. Once again we went back to the smaller property. Amy, the property manager, was very helpful to us during this time, went over and beyond taking care of us. We really appreciated it. And even though things were not what we were expecting, we enjoyed just being together as a family. Wish we could have stayed the whole time at the Hamilton house, it really was perfect for the size of our group. I would recommend it for any large family or friend gathering!

Wonderful home for a large family reunion

  • 5 of 5

We rented the Lodge for a 40+ member family reunion. While not all of the group was able to sleep at the lodge, we all gathered there during the day and evenings. With the multiple levels and the great outdoor space, children and adults were able to spread out and it never felt cramped. The kitchen arrangement was wonderful for feeding the family buffet style and the kitchen was well equipped. There was a large pantry for storing food items. The bedrooms, bathrooms, and family rooms were lovely and well maintained. With the home being set back from the road, there was a great feeling of privacy and we enjoyed watching the deer feed in the evening. The home was just as it was described. Definitely met our expectations!

We do not have one complaint. This beautiful place has everything and everything that you would want in your home. They don't have any "cheap" household items. It was quiet from neighbors, well kept and very accommodating. I would recommend it to anyone!
