Why Brian Glaser chose Southern Coast of Maine

We stumbled across this little cottage by chance and immediately fell in love. It was in need of some TLC but we saw its potential. We have brought it back to life and we are eager to share it with others.

Delightful cottage, gorgeous views!

We can't begin to say how much we enjoyed our stay! This lovely cottage provided the perfect fall get away, and we only wish we could have stayed longer. The owners have paid attention to every detail in this beautifully restored cottage: well-appointed kitchen, the most comfortable beds, cozy living area and charm throughout. We visited with our daughter and her fiance, and the home is perfect for four people. The location is wonderful as well, providing the perfect home base for day trips along the coast or exploring Kennebunkport just minutes away. Brian is an awesome host, thoughtfully attentive to every question and request. We loved our stay in Maine, and thank you for the best vacation ever!

Adorable Maine Cottage

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at this awesome cottage with my sister and brother-in-law for the last week. It is absolutely adorable! The master bedroom and bath are upstairs and the second bedroom is downstairs with a hall bathroom. The owners have made the absolute best utilization of space! This cottage has everything you need for a truly enjoyable stay. From the converted garage which is now the dining room to the outbuilding which is now a sitting room overlooking the marsh, you have several cozy areas in which to observe nature. One of our favorite activities early each morning and at dusk was to search for the 3 red fox that came through the yard and marsh out back! We all hope to return soon.

Beautifully restored, tastefully decorated

  • 4 of 5

Brian took on an amazing challenge, updating what some contractors might call a 'tear down.' The results gave my husband and me the best accommodations ever in our yearly jaunt to Kennebunkport. The house is a quirky amalgam of beachy, funky, truly comfortable accommodations.Everything we needed, wanted, or hoped for was found in the kitchen...including a gas stove. Note: No garbage disposal.

There were lots of areas to create separate spaces for reading, working on laptops, or breathing in the cool air. If you run in to a prolonged heat wave in Maine, which does happen, be aware that there are window units in the two bedrooms. There are so many original windows you ought to be able to adjust breezes to suit the time of day in the rest of the house. This is a perfect place for a couple. Or at least a couple like us. The upstairs (steep) is all master suite. A small bedroom off the living room might not do if two couple are traveling together.

We are more than eager to go back next year.

Quiet, private, soothing home away from home

  • 5 of 5

I hesitate to describe the beautiful home we were privileged to occupy for a long weekend in Kennebunkport lest it become too popular and unavailable in the future! The owners must be decorators, its colors and decor are nothing short of perfect. There are personal touches yet no clutter, the kitchen is well equipped, and as it was unseasonably cool, we were especially appreciative of the zone heating. No expense was spared on the unique light fixtures, and the dining room and small cottage with game room had the most delicious atmosphere and views. It was far enough off the beaten path to be restful but near enough to walk to several restaurants, groceries & shops. Can't wait to go back!

Just a wonderful Cottage to visit Cape Porpoise /Kennebunkport ME area! Cottage and grounds were impeccable! Beds are super comfortable! LIving /Dining & outdoor deck and back yard great! The view of the Marsh and Cove out back add a sweet element . The Cottage has been beautifully renovated and decor very lovely and cozy!

The Cottage has everything that was described and exceeded our expectations! Langsford RD is a quiet street and provides an easy walk to the Cape Porpoise Pier (Pier 77/ The Ramp & The Chowder House)! The small grocery market , Cape Porpoise Provision & Library are a short walk . Also, a lovely relatively new shop Farm & Table is down the street as well- jams, jellies, food treats & gifts for others and yourself! Can't wait to return to this truly magical Cottage!

Great location and charming cottage

  • 5 of 5

The location is just perfect, a serene street with great views of the harbor to the front and the marsh to the rear. The cottage is picture perfect in the way Brian and Michael have rejuvenated it. It still has the charm of the original cottage with all of today's conveniences. Their taste in decoration is most welcoming and relaxing! Loved the new separate living space overlooking the marsh, a quiet retreat for reading, the front porch is the best in the area for cocktails and people watching while looking at the harbor. The neighbors were all very nice and personable we can only say that it is truly a little gem!
