Panacea is a deluxe 2 bedroom, 2 full bath condo located in the upscale Battery Hill Condominium complex. From this conveniently located accommodation, it is just a short walk to the many dining and shopping options found in Cruz Bay and to Frank Bay which features a nice tree shaded beach and great snorkeling. With deluxe comfort and in-town convenience, Panacea is a perfect option for your fabulous St. John vacation!
Panacea is located on the ground floor in one of the two three story buildings at Battery Hill Condominiums. Access to this conveniently located condo is via a gate from the adjacent private, paved parking lot for the complex. The Battery Hill Condominiums are centrally located in the village of Cruz Bay and visitors staying at Panacea will enjoy the convenience of walking to all of the fine dining establishments and duty free shopping venues in town as well as Frank's Bay beach for some sunbathing and great snorkeling. With in-town convenience, visitors will find that renting a vehicle is certainly an 'option' when staying at Panacea!
The front entrance to Panacea is surrounded by beautiful tropical vegetation which extends throughout the property at Battery Hill. Inside the entrance door is the fully appointed kitchen which is ideal for making snacks to take to the beach, blending up an island drink, or cooking a full meal at home. There is also a reverse osmosis water system connected to the water supply in the kitchen which provides pure water to the icemaker in the refrigerator and for drinking and cooking. Past the kitchen area is the cheerfully decorated and air conditioned great room at Panacea featuring the indoor dining area with seating for four and the living room area which features comfortable furnishings and an entertainment center which has a flat screen HDTV with cable programming, a DVD player and an audio sound system with full streaming capabilities and dual MP3 connections. Free wireless internet is also available throughout the unit. Adjacent to the great room is the unique enclosed solarium featuring comfortable seating/reading areas and a queen sized futon sofa/bed . Double doors lead from both the great room and solarium to your own private balcony which includes lounge chairs and a table with umbrella to enjoy dining alfresco.
Adjacent to the great room are the two, tastefully decorated bedrooms that are located on either side of the shared bathroom with tiled walk-in shower. The master bedroom features a queen bed and the guest bedroomhas twin beds which can be converted to a king bed. Each bedroom is individually air conditioned. The futon in the solarium can be made up into a queen bed which can accommodate a 5th and 6th guest.
Venturing down the beautifully tiled walkway to the lower level of the complex you will find the tiled private pool which is shared only with other guests at Battery Hill Condos. The pool deck has plentiful areas for for sunning or sitting at poolside while watching the boats moving in and out of Cruz Bay Harbor. There is also a shaded area on the pool deck which offers table and chairs to enjoy a casual lunce beside the pool and several loungers for reading or napping in the shade. A communal gas BBQ grill and free guest laundry are conveniently located adjacent to the pool deck. Beach chairs, coolers and beach towels are available to take along on your visits to St. John's world-class beaches. Panacea provides the perfect accommodations to call home for one or two couples or a small family looking for uncrowded facilities that are within walking distance to shopping/dining options and beaches.

Our staff are 'locals' who live on St. John year around who intimately know the island of St. John and specialize in providing unparalleled hospitality services for our guests. We are the experts on St. John and are best equipped to provide knowledgeable, up-to-date advice about all relevant activities, features and amenities which are available to enhance our guests vacation experience.
Building construction on St. John may from time to time occur adjacent to one or more of our rental properties. Presently, there is such a building construction project ongoing adjacent to the Battery Hill Condominiums. This project may cause some objectionable noise at the Panacea Condo and we apologize for this inconvenience but wanted all prospective guests to be fully informed about this issue.

We were very pleased with the Panacea. The condo was spacious for the two of us, super clean, nicely furnished, and very well stocked. The walk to town was easy and Panacea was quieter than the other Battery Hill units on higher levels. Overall it was a great value and we would recommend it to others. Get your snorkel gear right down the hill at the Gallows Point shop. Same price as everywhere else and very convenient. Enjoyed our dinners at Rumb Lines, Fish Trap, and the Sun Dog Cafe (chicken curry sandwich). It was nice to walk down to Frank Bay with a cocktail and watch the sunset. Wish I was still in St John!
t. John is a small island approximately 4 miles wide by 9 miles long and is the home of the Virgin Islands National Park and the Coral Reef National Monument. Together these National treasures comprise more than 2/3 of the total land area and a significant amount of coastal waters surrounding St. John. Within the borders of the National Park, visitors will enjoy numerous hiking trails, visiting ruins, snorkeling and of course, sunbathing on a beautiful white sand beach.
