For the third year in a row, we have enjoyed this home away from home. We look forward to our visit every year as it really gives us the opportunity to unwind and decompress before all the craziness of back to school hits us (which comes sooner than any of us wants to admit). The home is incredibly spacious, very clean and well maintained. The spacious backyard gives the little ones ample room to roam and the adults a breezy place to lay in the hammock while sipping on a cocktail :) I am already booking for next year because I know I never want to stay anywhere at the Cape but at 234 Old Main Street.
This was a charming home. Very nice for a family and close to some good things. Cape Cod Creamery was the best ice cream. Bass River Beach was stunning. Joe was very helpful and recommended great places. He was a very thoughtful and gracious host. Would definitely come back.
We have stayed at this property two years in a row and have just booked a third for next summer. Mr. San Clemente is very easy to deal with and incredibly responsive with any questions you might have. I have enjoyed dealing with him. We absolutely adore this home, because that's what it feels like a home, not just a vacation property. The home is incredibly spacious with a huge, relaxing backyard, large living room and dining room able to accommodate large families. The location is excellent...just a short drive (or long walk for those without little ones) to Bass River Beach which is rarely crowded :) Also incredibly close to lots of dining and family entertainment options. Cape Cod Creamery is at the end of Pond Street...best ice cream on the Cape! I am already eagerly looking forward to our next visit next summer.
We had a wonderful experience staying in this charming Cape house in a historic area of South Yarmouth. The location was great as it is central and makes all destinations in the Cape easily accessible for a short outing or day trip. It was convenient for attending Cape Cod Summer Baseball League games also. Shopping and restaurants are close. The house was clean and well-maintained. The neighborhood is nice and feels safe. There was everything we needed and more. The house was big enough and easily accommodated our group which ranged from two to five people during our stay. We were on the go so much that we didn't take advantage of the great yard. Next time I would definitely make time to relax in the hammock, BBQ, and have a fire in the pit at night. Joe was very responsive to questions. We truly had no issues. I recommend this rental and would return.
The backyard is perfect for our two young kids running around. The owner is very very thoughtful. They prepared everything in the house. Anything you need from cooking to a fun beach day. Highly recommend.
What a lovely home to rent! It was in the best location possible for enjoying the river, beaches, restaurants and kid friendly- activities!
The home itself is spacious and gave every opportunity to stay in and cook on the grill in the fenced in backyard or in the stocked kitchen that had any pan you needed.
We would love to return again next summer and explore more of the area and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere! Any questions we had, Joe was right there to answer!
Thanks again for opening your home up to us and we cannot wait for next summer's stay!
The house is located on Historic Old Main Street and is only 2 blocks (a quick stroll) from Bass River and approx 1.4 miles (5 minute drive or 10 minute bike ride) to Nantucket sound beaches. Excellent location to enjoy everything on the Cape - located south of Route 28 – so quiet, but close to stores and just 5 minutes away from Bass River Golf Course. Less than one hour to the Cape Cod National Seashore. Hyannis nightlife and the ferries to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket are a 20-minute drive from the cottage.
