This was by far the best VRBO we have discovered. Much more like staying at your friend's home, it was such a welcoming and comfortable home.
You will need a vehicle, but we golfed, biked, hiked and had a wonderful family vacation with our adult children. Very private and surrounded by the beauty of the desert, amazing sunsets (when it wasn't raining, yes.... it can rain a lot in the desert) Starry skies, cold nights but two wonderful fireplaces to make this home cozy and comfortable
Owners are quick to respond and kept us well informed. We would definitely recommend this property for families and outdoor enthusiasts.
My wife and I have been using VRBO for years and prior to this have vacation in Arizona we had stayed in Sedona and Oro Valley (Tucson).
Dealing with the owners Jerry & Lori was never a headache. They explained everything up front and were right on the mark with what was offered. This place is absolutely beautiful, the Kitchen, Living Room area is large and the appliances top notch. The TV with Bose speakers were unbelievable and with the house and patio wired.
We spent one day in Sedona, one day in the Oro Valley area and even took in a ball game at Chase Field in Phoenix. I only wish I had taken a little longer of a vacation this year to stay at the house and enjoy the property more.
We cooked on the grill several times, enjoyed the waterfall flowing into the spool and just relaxed in the sun looking at the beautiful mountains.
We were concerned about flooding as we had heard before we left New York about the situation but Jerry called us ahead of time and told us of no problems, then while we were there he reached out again asking if we had arrived and if everything was what we had expected.
I have dealt with owners and property managers in the past but Jerry made sure that everything was perfect…a real gentleman.
Cave Creek is close enough to Scottsdale/Phoenix but also far enough away that you feel country privacy.
I would definitely recommend this beautiful home and will be back!
Jerry and Lori,
My wife and I chose Cave Creek to spend our 30th wedding anniversary and could not have found a better home than yours. We started each day with coffee on the back patio watching the hummingbirds (we recommend future guests keep the feeders filled with nectar) and ended on the front patio watching the mule deer and javelina. We enjoyed day trips to Scottsdale, and hiking in the Tonto National Forest, Cave Creek Regional Park and Spur Cross Conservation Area. And, with temperatures hovering around 108 degrees all week, the spool was always a perfect way to cool off at the end of the day. The kitchen is well appointed but we cooked all of our meals on the grill in the outdoor kitchen area (try the New York strip steaks from the Fry's butcher counter) and ate at the table on the covered patio. Sunsets on the Black Mountains are spectacular and poolside is the perfect location for watching shooting stars.
Your home is inviting, warmly decorated and comfortable (especially the master bed). Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful property and be the perfect hosts. We look forward to returning.
My husband and i enjoyed this super private, super quiet, super comfy home for 7 nights in july. The kitchen was awesome because it was well stocked with equipment and basic starters. The range was fantastic. The outdoor grill was clean and ready for us to use. All the equipment was in perfect working condition. There was no evidence of any pets ever being in the home which was perfect for me as i was trying to get away from my pets at home. The beds were comforable and all the linens were great quality. Tons of pillows to choose from. The master bedroom tv was a perfect size and new. The front room tv had a sound system. The master bath had a giant shower that was sparkling clean. The soaker tub was huge and all the jets were operational. The tub was not a silly corner tub, it was enormous. The sliding door off the master led outside to a real wood rocking chair set that was perfect for a minute in the shade. The backyard was fenced in and humming birds and all sorts of other special birds visited the blooming trees and shrubs. The yard was very well tended and i could sit and watch the wildlife out back without getting sunburnt because there are plenty of seats in the shade. The spool was perfect for a refrshing dip / soak and the waterfall looked natural and like it belonged right where it was. The front porch was perfectly situated to watch the sunset. We saw all kinds of wildlife out front. We drove a couple minutes to the spurcross conservation and hiked a different trail every morning. The preserve is a hidden gem filled with panoramic vistas throughout tonto national forest. We enjoyed watching the serious horse farmers of cave creek work while we took an early eve stroll. The neighborhood is well cared for and quiet. The architecture and spirit of the home matches it's surroundings. Great place! We are looking forward to returning as soon as we can. This place was worth the trip.
Hello Jerry and Lori,
Thank you for providing such a relaxing, comfortable, and beautifully appointed vacation home for our stay. The area, the views and the wildlife were amazing... all right out our front door step.
The home was clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay. Jerry, you were a most gracious host.
We came to Cave Creek to relax and unwind. This home and surroundings were exactly what we needed. Loved the tub, fireplaces, cozy comfortable bed, well appointed kitchen, spaciousness, and the auto-open garbage can!! ;-)
Thanks so much,
Kim, Doug and Daisy
My daughter wanted a small wedding ceremony with just our family in the Phoenix area. We chose this beautiful home, and it was better than we could have imagined. The setting was unbelievable: private, restic, but so well taken care of, all the amenities that we needed. Our stay was wonderful, and not only did we have a beatiful wedding, but we thoroughly enjoyed the area. Cartwright's catered a delicious dinner, and we enjoyed a restful dinner at Tonto's on our last night there. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner at ElEncanto, and grilling out in the patio. I would recommend this home for any kind of get-away.
