Aldona is a pleasant village in North Goa that is redolent of the Old Goa charm. It is composed of old turn of the century homes with large tracts of land cultivated with fruit trees. Unlike other places in Goa, the apartment culture has not pervaded the landscape and you mostly find ancestral bungalows and villas with families that have lived therein for generations.
The Refuge is located in an especially secluded area of this quiet village. The neighborhood is predominated by old Goan families and their warmth, hospitality and charm exudes and pervades the area. The 200sqm bungalow is built in the period style and has an English garden on the street facing side and a fruit plantation at the rear. The plantation is dominated by large, old trees some of which grow up to 100 ft tall. There are numerous jackfruit, coconut, banana, chikoo trees and the area is dotted by over 70 pineapple plants. Beyond the plantation is heavily forested land that lends complete privacy to the cottage.
The beach and bar lifestyle of Goa is about 20 min away and all the major beaches of Candolim, Calangute and Anjuna are equally accessible within that driving time frame.
We prefer long term stay guests who will enjoy the bungalow throughout the year and will love the old Goa charm combined with the peaceful ambience.
House Rules: We are looking for guests who are on long term stay with a one month minimum.
