Enjoy Lake Champlain and the Burlington area while staying in this beautifully restored 1920’s farmhouse. The house offers breathtaking views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains. This lake front home has 225 feet of private beach front, perfect for kayaking, sailing, and swimming, fishing, or just lounging around in the sun. The water access is very shallow and perfect for children and people of all ages to enter and exit. House includes a floating swim raft, boat mooring, a two person kayak, and a one person kayak and lots of other 'toys' including badminton/volleyball equipment, horseshoes, tetherball, golf clubs, baseball gloves, soccer balls, football, rugby ball and other sports equipment. We also feature a firepit for roasting marshmallows or just relaxing in front of the fire.

This farmhouse features five bedrooms. The open concept living room, dining area and kitchen is well set up for family gatherings and guests of all ages! The farmhouse stretches 3 floors and houses its 5 Bedrooms on the top 2 levels of the home offering lots of privacy and space to get away from each other if you want to!

There is large deck overlooking the lake - lounge chairs, tables and chair sets are available for your relaxation. Lay back in your lounge chair while watching the sunset over the Adirondack Mountains.

The first floor has a three season room with a wall of windows facing the lake and has a large dining room table where you can enjoy your meals while taking in the view. There is also a lakeside deck and patio with perennial gardens. The kitchen has been recently renovated with top quality modern appliances and soap stone counters. The living room features a working fireplace while the den has a propane stove that keeps you toasty when the weather cools. There are 3 full recently renovated bathrooms. The first floor bath is great for when the kids come in from the lake, featuring a shower and adjacent laundry room. The second floor contains 4 bedrooms and one full bath. The front bedroom has twin beds and overlooks the lake, bedroom 2 is cozy with a brass double bed, bedroom 3 has bunk beds for the kids and the 4th bedroom features a queen bed. The master suite located on the third floor features a sitting room with a day bed, a king size bed. The adjacent bath contains a claw tub as well as a separate shower room. The house and location is more than expected. Plenty of sleeping space, beautiful large property.

  • 5 of 5

My adult family and a few friends stayed at this spacious, clean, and well maintained house.

The large, bright, and airy sunroom which overlooked the lake, was our favorite room and ate all of our meals there.

Coffee on the deck in the mornings and enjoying the beautiful sunsets in the evenings were a daily ritual. We watched an intense thunder and lightning storm come across the lake from NY.

The description of the house itself and the amenities were more than expected.

The garage was full of lawn games which we took full advantage of. Much time was spent having 'corn hole' and 'tetherball' compititions.

The location is exellent. We visited Burlington, took the ferry to Plattsburgh to watch a semi- pro baseball game, and a 1 1/2 hour drive to Montreal.

We would definitely stay here again.

First Class

We rented this house as a place for family and friends to stay before, during and after our daughter's wedding. Everything that is shown in the listing is there and even better in real life. The wow factor of this property hits you as soon as you turn into the driveway. The location is right on the lake, the grounds and gardens are lovely and the house is incredible. The house is tastefully and efficiently decorated and furnished; everything you need for your stay is there - from kitchen appliances and utensils to linens, towels and paper goods. The outside deck with the lake just below was our favorite go to spot for morning coffee as well as dinner and wine with friends. The sunroom saved the day for the rehearsal dinner, which was initially planned for outside, when stormy weather began. We set up tables to accommodate all 30 guests and the celebration continued without a hitch. The raised entry way with the double doors served as a perfect entrance for the guests of honor as well as a stage for speeches and toasts. The night before the wedding we had all of the bridesmaids and bride staying with us. The five bedrooms and three bathrooms made it the perfect place for all of us to get ready for the wedding. This rental was so turnkey that we were able to relax and enjoy a Vermont staycation and put our worries and concerns aside to celebrate the beautiful wedding weekend of our children and the goodwill of the family and friends that care deeply about them.

The owner is very easy to work with and her maintenance people are friendly, helpful and readily available.

Great family vacation spot!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed for 3 nights in April and again in May. We had a blast! The property itself kept the kids busy with the air hockey/ping pong table, pool table, tether ball, and lots of room to spread out and play. We all loved the beautiful views and beach access. During our stay over Memorial Day weekend, the kids were able to swim and kayak, and my 9 year old enjoyed fishing off of the cement dock. We spent time exploring Burlington as well, which is just a 20 minute drive from the property. This home is a wonderful spot for a family vacation!

Great property

  • 4 of 5

We rented this property for a multi-generational gathering for UVM Commencement. It was perfect! The house and property were exactly as described. Only 30 minutes from Burlington made the drive in for ceremonies and dinner or shopping a breeze. The house had all the kitchen necessities covered, even some of the basics you might forget to bring yourself. The grounds were large, well kept and peaceful. We had a great time and would definitely rent it again and would recommend it to others. Besides the initial process of renting we had little interaction with the owner, well because, everything was great. The only drawback is the road, because of its proximity to the ferry to New York, there can be spurts of fast moving traffic when the ferry comes in. The road is not conducive to taking a walk.

Exactly what we were looking for

  • 5 of 5

This is a great property for a group (our event was a writing retreat, but I've previously rented here with friends and family as well). Lots of room to spread out, and well appointed, all around. The location is fantastic and the owner was responsive and exceptionally easy to deal with as well. Thumbs up all around.
