About the property

2 bedroom, 2 bath, sleeps six

A floor-to-ceiling stacked rock fireplace in the living room welcomes weary travelers to relax and unwind while enjoying the mountain and meadow views from this quiet cabin in the Northeast Georgia Blue Ridge mountains. Walls of tongue-in-groove knotty pine give warmth to the main rooms, which are accented with maple floors.

Built in 2005, this cabin features two over-sized bedrooms and an extra loft which sleeps two. A full acre of natural woods habitat next to the cabin provides natural privacy to the outdoor hot tub and has been enhanced with native landscaping and feeders to attract lots of birds and butterflies. Deer and wild turkey are often spotted strolling through the property.

Porch and wrap around three sided deck with lots of seating makes kicking back and relaxing easy. Whether you are sitting on the porch, deck, rustic log furniture or in the hot tub with built-in entertainment sound system, the mountains are always in front of you.

The upstairs master suite, adjacent to the loft, has a deluxe king sized bed. The master bath has a jetted tub that overlooks the woods and features a huge walk-in closet.

The main floor bedroom, with a queen size bed, has french doors that overlook the front porch and more mountain views. Sleeping facilities are augmented by a chair-and-a-half twin sleeper in the living room. A futon in the large loft folds down to accommodate children and extra guests.

All stainless steel appliances are featured in the fully equipped kitchen.

Outdoors is an easily accessible full hook-up RV pad (50 amp power, city water, sewer & cable TV) adjacent to the cabin, which accommodates up to a 39' rig. A large custom-designed wood burning fire pit on the edge of the property allows you to roast as many marshmallows as you dare enjoy.

This cabin is accessed by well-paved roads with no excessively steep slopes.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We came up from Florida to relax & enjoy the fall season & that we did! When I first saw the pictures online of the cabin I knew this was the place we were going to.

The fall colors are beautiful and every window shoes a different vista.

The hot tub was just what our bones needed after a cool day's ride on the mountains. The glass of wine topped off the day!

We have treasured our stay here. I hope we can bring our grandchild up next time.

Other than a small issue with the hot tub, that the owner immediately corrected, our stay was exactly what we needed. Off the beaten path, restful, kitchen fully supplied with every thing one needs, deer and rabbits, friendly dog that enjoyed some love. We'll definitely stay there again!

Oso Suite is oh so sweet!

  • 5 of 5

Spent a week in this delightful cabin. It is well equipped, beautifully decorated and extremely clean inside. Location gave us close proximity to ATV in nearby ATV parks, zip line on the Nantahala, and enjoy beautiful mountain roads on our Harley. The gas fireplace was a plus on chilly nights and the hot tub was relaxing after our many adventures. Thank you, Nina, and looking to return in the near future. Bob and Pamm

OSO SUITE REVIEW FOR 10/9/16 THRU 10/15/16

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is beautifully located, kitchen is well stocked with utensils, and bathrooms/ bedrooms have adequate linens. Location is far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of the area but close enough to travel to town for anything needed. Centrally located for many days trips. Everything is well maintained except for the master bath Jacuzzi would not work. We would definitely rent this cabin again!

Anniversary Weekend

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary for a long weekend at Oso Suite. The cabin was perfect for what we were looking for. Very private and secluded in the summertime with all the leaves on the trees. We packed a cooler full of food so we wouldn't have to go out for breakfast or dinner and the kitchen was very well stocked with all the utensils we needed. Two spacious bedrooms make it a great place for one or two couples or a family. A wrap around deck made it great for morning coffee and evening wine. The location was great to for visiting some other towns. We stopped in Dahlonega on the way up, Blue Ridge one day, Harrah's casino in Murphy, NC and Helen on the way home. All were pretty close. The only con I would mention is that the hot tub got a little murky after our first day. We called the Spa company and they walked me through the process of shocking and chlorinating the tub which helped but didn't completely clear it up. But we will definitely return. It was a great getaway.

We just loved the area and cabin was so awesome. Had issues getting in the gate but found out from a gentleman living there it's been an issue. Would ask that shower head be replaced upstairs. It only trickles. We hope to go back every year. The porch is just terrific!!. Thanks so much!!!
