We had a delightful time ...

I wanted to surprise my husband on his birthday, and thought a winter getaway would be just right! On a whim, I contacted Wayne and Marilyn to see if the cottage was a possibility, and it was the best decision I ever made. The cottage was perfect. We were able to walk on the beach at night and again in the morning, and the sunset/sunrise spectacular! I loved the idea of the cottage being fully stocked so I only had to bring the food and wine :) Overall, an amazing experience and one that we will not forget anytime soon. I would heartily recommend this cottage from two lovely people who really have put their heart into making this cottage a home that any one can enjoy! Thank you Marilyn and Wayne for being so accommodating to my whim too ...

Lex-Haven was the PERFECT romantic get away. The Bakers were super friendly and built a picnic table the day of our arrival. I can't wait to go back to this house. It was like we were in a Romantic Movie with the way this place is. Thank you Bakers for letting us use this romantic palace

The home was so clean and beautifully updated.

We were fortunate to have great, warm weather for the end of Sept. Short walk to the water and the neighborhood was quiet. Unfortunately, I could not hear the waves from the property, but that was OK. I felt the owners were great to work with. Only concern is had to mail pmt to Canada and that created a delay in postal processing between US and CA border. Nobody warned of this fact.

Absolutely perfect!!

We stayed at the cottage for 8 nights, because 7 was just not enough. The cottage is beautiful inside. I loved the way it is decorated. This was our first vacation in over six years, due to my son's medical conditions. And we were very happy with where were we picked to go. It was perfect. The area is so calm and peaceful. And the kids loved the beach.

Will Defiately Say Again

My wife and I stayed for a week with my daughter, grandson and our little Jack Russell, Lucie.

We had an excellent time! The property was in great shape with newer appliances and fixtures.

We rode bikes around the neighborhood, grilled out 2 nights and used the cottage as a base to explore the area.

There was plenty of room for us in the spacious living area and kitchen. We will definitely consider this cottage again when we are vacationing in the area.

Thanks Wayne and Marilyn.

About Wayne or Marilyn Baker

When my wife and I first purchased this property, we thought a bit of decorating and sprucing up and voila, a great place for us to get away to. No Such luck. After taking possession and doing more substantive investigation, we soon discovered that the small dip in the floor was crumbling supports. Thus after significant soul searching, we embarked on a 3 year project to totally remove all bad and rotting components, and replace with new and modern. With the help of a couple of local guys, one of whom is our neighbour, and every weekend and holiday available to us over the past three years, we have created a haven we would like to share.

Why Wayne or Marilyn Baker chose Lexington

We fell in love with the area. We love the proximity to the Lake. It is an excellent location for young families, the water is far enough away that youngsters won't be tempted to explore unattended, yet close enough that one can make multiple trips to the beach and not be bothered by it.

What makes this house unique

We have poured our heart and souls into this home over the past three years. We love the unique character of the home, from the old shade trees in the front yard to the view of the lake. From the cathedral ceiling in the living room, to the roomy openness of the living area. Come stay and see what we mean.

Car: necessary

One can always spend a nice evening at the Barn Theatre in nearby Port Sanilac, or enjoy the experience of a Drive-In Movie about 25 minutes away by Sandusky.
