Guestbook comments from the owner

Good evening Jennifer,

Just wanted to write and let you know how much we enjoyed your home during our stay. We arrived as the cleaning lady was leaving and the house was very clean. You weren't kidding when you said she was great! The kids absolutely loved the bunk beds and immediately felt at home. The location was perfect for us and we did make a small fire for marshmallows in the fire pit. A truly wonderful place to unwind. We certainly hope to be able to snag it again next year... more time would be great

Perfect for multiple families.

Jen's Cape house was an excellent choice for accommodating ourselves, our three grown children and their spouses, as well as three young grandchildren. There was plenty of room to spread out. The layout of the bedrooms afforded privacy for everyone. With three full baths and an enclosed outdoor shower, no one had to wait very long after returning from the beach. I chose Eastham because the bayside beaches at low tide are perfect for very young children. We also visited a couple of the freshwater kettle ponds which provide excellent swimming and fishing. I would recommend this property to friends and relatives.

Summertime traffic seems to be much heavier than when our children were small, so make sure you allow plenty of extra time if you plan on heading to Provincetown for a whale watch. Also, Nauset Light and Coast Guard Beaches fill up early so plan on leaving early or wait until later in the day when people are starting to leave the beaches.

The home owner responded quickly to my inquiry and questions. We had 8 people (4 adults and 4 kids) most of the week and house was large enough to offer comfort and privacy, even when we were as many as 11. The kitchen and dining room were spacious which facilitated wheelchair mobility. The porch was great for morning and afternoon relaxation. The master bedroom had extreme privacy and probably one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. We thoroughly enjoyed renting this house!

Comfortable and cozy!

  • 5 of 5

This house was just the perfect place for our vacation week. The house itself was large, cozy, clean, well-equipped and pet friendly! It was close to beaches, restaurants and the supermarket. The screened-in porch was an all-day oasis. This was just a lovely place to stay!

So nice we came back for a second year!

  • 5 of 5

My family rented this home last year and we were lucky enough to rent it again this summer. Jen was wonderful and answered all of our questions. The property is well kept and we saw some improvements this year from last - new appliances! The home is very centrally located, which makes it just a great location for everything we enjoy doing. Every family member had a wonderful time. Hope to rent again next summer!!

Spacious, updated home convenient to everything

  • 4 of 5

I would definitely recommend this property for a family vacation on Cape Cod. The house was extremely well maintained and stocked with everything you could possibly need (except linens and towel, of course).

The home is in a beautiful neighborhood, close to the beach, Eastham and Orleans center, Great Pond and very convenient to Route 6. First Encounter Beach is only minutes away by car - which was so much fun for our kids, especially when the tide was out and they could explore for miles. The bike trail was hard to find, but when we located it, it was great to have it so close by.

If you like privacy and don't mind a short drive to the ocean - you won't be disappointed.

A great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

Jennifer (the owner) was great to work with in making our arrangements. We stayed for two weeks and had friends join us for a few days here and there. Everyone loved it. We especially appreciated being able to have our dog with us on vacation, and the wheelchair accessibility of the home.

The location is ideal - in a quiet neighborhood, with easy access to the bike trail, Boat Meadow beach (which was never crowded - always interesting - and has fantastic sunsets), and all of the fun and conveniences in Orleans Center: mini golf, Stop & Shop and Target (for stuff we forgot), restaurants (loved The Lost Dog restaurant), kayak & SUP rentals at Goose Hummock. Our family likes Nauset Beach - but it's also easy to get to the National Seashore beaches. We also enjoyed a sunset sail on the Blue Lady II out of Province Town... (again, appreciating the central location of this house making it reasonable to drive to P-Town for the evening.)

The porch is definitely the best feature of the house. We spent most of our time there, until it got humid during the last few days before the tropical storm blew in. Then it was nice having the air conditioning and fans indoors. The house is relatively up to date, with plenty of space to accommodate 10 people comfortably without feeling like we were stumbling around each other. We had a good time using the fire pit for making s'mores... so nice to have a convenient wood supply to do that. The outdoor shower was also a great experience... (and good for getting rid of sand after a day at the beach).

We left with a lot of good memories.
