This home has everything we were looking for. It's a beautiful, beautiful house, convenient for site-seeing in Vancouver, Whistler, and Vancouver Island, with parks and trails close by, and a wonderful deck for relaxing at the end of the day. Great place to get away from it all.
We're expat family living in shanghai .our first visit to Vancouver.we travel different place.im glad to find this beautiful home by home away and we're also lucky to find the owner Elisabeth, she's very thoughtful, flowers on the table, when we arrive.complete stuff for kitchen( I love her kitchen) and we use some of her vegetable, herbs on her garden, walking distance to golf course which my husband love.we have a car so we didn't try to take the bus.i would definitely recommend this place.we will come back.thank you so much Elisabeth,so sad we didn't meet you.
This is one of those lovely homes that the photos don't do it justice. The location is
convenient -close to a golf course, a community recreation center- a ferry station
and buses. We had a car but with a three block walk to a bus stop, we often left it
home. The home is beautifully designed and tastefully furnished with loads of amenities. The landscaping is exceptional with clear water views. We loved relaxing and dining on the decks that feature glass railings that maximize views.
I can't say enough good things about the owners. We had no problems but I did
call Elizabeth a number of times for directions on some electronics which were
of high quality and she was always very pleasant and helpful.
A couple of last thoughts- we didn't have to run out and load up with seasonings, cooking oil and other basics which was really appreciated;
Good instruction manual with some useful visitor info on the area and
the appliance use.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to my most fussy friends and
family and we just hope that it is available the next time we visit the Vancouver
area. Lastly, after renting condominiums in Vancouver, staying in this beautiful house and area greatly enhanced our visit.
An amazingly relaxing home with everything you wanted. Great location.
I'm very fussy and try to rent holiday houses that have a wow factor and as soon as you walk through the door you know that this house has it - you walk into the wonderful open plan living space with floor to ceiling windows, comfy sofas, a cook's kitchen, dining area and outdoor deck with sofas - from where we saw bald eagles everyday.
The master bedroom suite is amazing with a huge sunken bath, great shower and a very comfortable bed with top notch linen. Our teenage kids had the two smaller bedrooms which are located at the other side of the house - great for us and great for them.
The house is brilliantly equipped with everything you need (and more), is beautifully furnished in a modern style with quirky pieces of art and textiles - it cleverly feels like a much love home but without all the clutter of day to day life.
The location is great - a quiet upmarket residential neighbourhood, less than half an hour to Vancouver, with really easy access to the BC Ferry and the ability to rent boats that you can use to explore the beautiful Howe Sound and Bowen Island.
This was without doubt the best house that we stayed in during our 3 week stay in Canada - thank you Elisabeth.
