The owner, Holly, purchased the home in 2017 and gave it the Garden Cottage name. She says, "I am in love with Savannah. The history, the beauty, the architecture, the people, and the food! Especially the food." You will find so many culinary gems here from Italian, to seafood, to down-home country-cooking.
But let's get back to Holly's story…
Holly's love affair with Savannah started when she moved here in 1987 at the age of 19. A few years later she moved to Atlanta due to life’s circumstances, but kept Savannah in her heart. Fast forward to 2010 when she came down here on several business trips and brought her fiancé with her. At that point he fell in love with Savannah as well, and they decided to get married here. Ever since they have been determined to have their own place here to enjoy, as well as share with others. And now their dream has come true with the Garden Cottage on Park Avenue! They hope you enjoy our home as much as they do!
After perusing many neighborhoods and looking at a
multitude of houses, they chose this house for several reasons. It’s charming, it’s big enough to accommodate their whole family, and it’s close to all that Savannah has to offer. You can take a nice stroll to Forsyth Park, walk to one of their favorite restaurants, or just meander through the many historical squares.
Holly and her husband have thoughtfully chosen pictures and décor that give their Garden Cottage a feel of the city, and they have tried to make it as comfortable and inviting as possible. While built in 2009, it has a definite Victorian “feel” and a cottage look. The neighborhood is Victorian -- and the Garden Cottage fits right in. They love sitting on the porch swing in the front; or relaxing under the covered patio in the back at night, with the beautiful hanging lights.
The house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a fully-equipped kitchen. So, come and check it out. Bring your significant other for a romantic weekend getaway, gather the girls for a “girl’s trip”, or bring the whole family and stay the week! Don't worry about parking.
