Rose Cottage sleeps 6 adults in beds and 2 children under the age of 8 on inflatable mattresses. New hardwood floors throughout.
The cottage sits in a great location in the historic downtown Victorian district, voted one of the nation's 'Top 10 Great Neighbourhoods of 2014' by the American Planning Association. This area is also known as the up-and-coming SOFO district (South of Forsyth Park) with trendy bars and restaurants opening up in the area. The hideaway is a wonderful place for romance, friendship, meditation, creativity, calm and rest, and a great base for fun and adventure - just as a cottage should be!

Just outside the courtyard are two private off-street parking spaces.
This 1200 square foot bright and airy cottage (with heat and air-conditioning) is well-equipped with basic staples to prepare a home cooked meal. Here are some more details for your stay:

Welcome to Rose Cottage, Savannah, Georgia!
Kelly manages Rose Cottage for the owners who keep it as their winter home. They fell in love with Savannah and all it has to offer. Every day here is an adventure for them!
Kelly purchased this cottage in 2013
It is a lovely home in a great location, with lots of space for family and friends, and enough gardening to keep us happy.
Savannah has a unique 'feeling' to it - a charming village with all the amenities of a big city. The port, the schools, the businesses all contribute to its vibrancy. People are friendly, the historic district is enjoying major restoration, the gorgeous homes are being refreshed and filled with families and students.
It is a pleasure to wake in Rose Cottage with the songbirds outside the windows and the fragrance from the garden. A coffee and a book on the front porch, saying good-morning to the passers-by... all set us up before heading out for yet another interesting day of sightseeing or shopping. Civil war buffs have tons to explore; Bonaventure Cemetery is a must visit; Tybee Island and the intervening islands are so close; music, art, local beers and gourmet cuisine are readily available. In the evening, a drink on the porch, a BBQ in the backyard, and a meal in the screened gazebo are a perfect end to the day.
And - no worries about parking: private parking is a rarity in the city; to have two spaces even rarer.
Cute cottage and close enough to walk to everything. Walked to see Christmas parade!
This home was beautiful. It had everything we needed to feel like locals for our stay. Kroger is a few blocks away, so we were easily able to purchase any additional items. Forsyth Park is gorgeous and we enjoyed walking up to the touristy parts of Savannah (around a mile walk). We loved Rose Cottage and would definitely stay there again. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!
This home is absolutely beautiful with a very cozy and homey feeling. It was super clean and had everything we needed. It was close to stores and at night it was less than $10 cab ride to River St. Nice that you had off street parking but there was always room out front if needed. We would definitely come back to this home. Thank you for sharing it.
The Rose Cottage is located perfectly: a block or 2 from a fabulous Kroger(Starbucks, Sushi, Subs, hotmeals, and more) and a block or 2 from the top of Forsyth park, which makes it easy to stroll down to City Market and River street--boutique shops and classic bars along the way. If you're not up for strolling, an Uber is $8-10 on Fridays a d Saturdays. The pedí cabs will even pick you up at the cottage. The cottage itself is fully stocked: toilet paper, shampoo, conditoner, soap, towels, hot chocolate, coffee, spices, kitchen utensils, recycling, camping chairs, and much more. Can't wait to be back!
My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Rose Cottage while on our first visit to Savannah and absolutely loved it. It was charming, safe, and comfortable. Just outside of the downtown area, it is perfectly located right near Forsyth Park, and is close to many other amenities and attractions. We highly recommend staying at Rose Cottage!!
We had some trouble getting in. The lockbox directions should say "far left" post. Additionally, the lockbox was hard to open. Once we were inside, things were great. Very beautiful property. So many small things were provided ( shampoo, spices, etc) that it was a care-free stay. We had a wonderful time.
Rose Cottage sits in a fabulous location in the historic downtown Victorian District near Forsyth Park with its Saturday farmer's market, festivals, weddings, live music, a cafe, tennis, and basketball courts. Famous and infamous historical homes abound in this area, along with SCAD buildings, the new law school, antique shops, the Design district, restaurants, and churches. Walk to the Juliette Gordon Low Home, a shrine for Girl Scouts from all over the world. Every Square is historic; read the information plaques, perch on a bench and contemplate postcard-style landscaping, or take a tour when you tire of walking around this stunningly beautiful city. A few more minutes and you are at Broughton, the main shopping street, and City Market where you can catch the Horse & Carriage tours and rub the bronze hat of Johnny Mercer. Another few minutes and you are at the Savannah River and Factors Walk with all it's glorious history and reverie. Not to mention great food, drink and shopping. The first weekend of the month there is live music and artisans selling their wares along the riverfront. The folk festival and music festival are world-class.
