Villa Blanca welcomes you to Tucson!
An entrepreneur by nature, I have enjoyed the freedom and flexibility that a self directed path can provide. I have loved to travel and annually embark upon both a beach vacation and an exotic destination in a far away continent - you will find exotic mementos from my travels adorn Villa Blanca and inspire the eclectic sampling of the world within. Growing up in Tucson in this very property, I wanted to name my special bungalow to honor my connection to my mother, my family and the heritage of the house, hence the name Villa Blanca which means white house - where my friends said I lived as a kid. While home in Tucson, I love to landscape, You will see me working on my properties tending to the mesquite trees, Peruvian apple cactus a native willow or assisting guests at Villa Blanca Pajaro and other homes. I have always enjoyed cooking - entertaining friends and family and hosting many social events, and look forward to hosting you during your stay in Tucson!
Erica K. purchased this bungalow in 2010
My parents were renting the carriage house in the 1960's while attending the University of Arizona. Reading an ad in the paper the original owners of Villa Blanca Pajaro - had listed it for sale - it turned out to be my parents landlords - who enjoyed the young couple so - and sold it to my parents over another buyer. With the assistance of my Grandmother for a down payment, My mother and father moved to the front house and raised us girls - in 2010 Villa Blanca Pajaro passed through the generations from my grandmother, mother and sister to my self - for me to share with you as Villa Blanca Pajaro.
I love Villa Blanca Pajaro with all of my heart - it is a beautiful home full of warmth and truly does hold every memory in life - Christmas trees, Easter bunnies, Thanksgiving Dinners, watching sesame street while laying on the living room floor, cartwheels in the front yard - giggling with friends - walking to school - having breakfast at Rincon market, bicycling to the UofA. Now it's your turn to make some memories and experience the warmth and love of a family home known as Villa Blanca Pajaro.
The house is just as lovely as every other reviewer has mentioned. It is meticulously restored, decorated and maintained. Quiet, charming, and comfortable. Erica is completely dedicated to making you feel welcome. My advice to other renters - take care of this home as if it were your own so that we can all continue to enjoy staying here in the lovely condition it is currently. Love this home!
Exceptionally clean, thoughtfully furnished and conveniently located just blocks from the University of Arizona. Has key features essential for your comfort in Tucson including a modern air-conditioning system, ceiling fans, a refrigerator with ice maker and water dispenser, and covered parking (we fit a minivan in there - anything taller wider or longer may not fit but there are other parking options).
I would stay here again! Too bad we found this house just as our daughter was graduating from U of A. Very convenient to campus.
This is the second year in a row we have rented from Erica at her darling Southwest Duplex Bungalow in Tucson. Located just a short walk from University of Arizona and central to all the best eateries Tucson has to offer. We find these darling places to be clean, exceptionally furnished and decorated and filled with everything you will need for your Tucson vacation. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking, great appliances and basic pantry supplies. The washer/dryer are like new. Though we did not watch TV, other than the morning news, there are two flat screen TVs. The backyard has a nice gas grill and beautiful furniture to use when the weather is not too hot. We are already re-booked in March, 2017 for our next visit for our son's wedding! Thanks, Erica, as always, for a warm and welcoming place to stay when visiting Tucson!
After a week of staying in soulless hotel rooms we were totally thrilled to arrive at this place. There was absolutely everything we could want and we had an extremely comfortable stay. I'd happily live in a house like this. Erica's communication was prompt and we had very clear directions and instructions.
We took the bus into town one evening for happy hour (quick, easy, cheap) and walked to the university district another (about 25mins). It was very easy to get to all the places we wanted to go and I'd highly recommend the property.
Originally from Tucson but now living in CO. I stayed here for 2015 Thanksgiving and again this May. The bungalow is perfect, easy to get to and from because of location. I like to cook so the kitchen is perfect! Every detail feels like home, plus the backyard and BBQ is a bonus! Erica is wonderful. I occasionally come to Tucson for work - I will be sure to stay here every time.
