About the property

2 Bed/2 Bath Sleeps 5. Two Houses For One. Main House And A Full Apartment Unit

Heavenly Daze. Well-crafted, fully furnished and handicap accessible home perched on rugged ledges in an enchanting and private woodland setting. Completely renovated. Glorious sunsets, simple and inviting gardens, footpaths. Just steps to a picturesque typical Maine beach. Main house has spacious master suite including walk in shower with heated tile floors. This house has one floor with fully stocked kitchen, family room with floor to ceiling windows looking out on Penobscot Bay, vaulted ceilings, exposed natural wood beams, a centrally located wood stove fireplace perfect for a cold fall evening. Having friends join you for a few days….the fully furnished one bedroom apartment above the detached garage has a kitchenette, full bathroom, living area and queen size bed is perfect for guests. Charcoal grill for slow and relaxing dinners and an ocean side landscaped fire pit perfect for s’mores while you watch the stars.

The house is on an island. there is a car ferry that runs between the mainland and the island every 30 minutes from 7 am to 5 pm 7 days a week and a smaller non car ferry that will run into the evening or anytime per request. Islesboro has 2 country stores with all the provisions one would need to make a 5 course meal. There are a few small shops and even a great place for ice-cream. The Island however does not have any restaurants so if you are looking for wild nights out its probably not the place. We have in the past taken the ferry back during the day and go to Camden for lunch and window shopping.

The Island is famous for its large mansions that are owned by such Hollywood stars as John Travolta and Kristy Alley along with a smattering of hedge fund traders and bigwig lawyers. People come to Islesboro to get away from the crowds and recharge their batteries.

No pets or smoking please.

We recently stayed for 8 days at this terrific home. The house was equipped with everything that one might need and was very comfortable and nicely furnished. The house was also immaculate and ready for our occupancy when we arrived. The views of the ocean looking back toward the mainland were fantastic and the sunsets were truly wonderful,

There is a beautiful old Catholic Church on the Island, St Mary Of The Isles, where they hold a weekly 9AM Saturday Mass, and many other places on the Island to explore and enjoy.

Between the two markets on the island we could find everything that we needed, although they were a little pricey. So I would recommend stocking up before taking the ferry from Lincolnville (We made a round-trip reservation for our vehicle to insure our ability to be on the ferry at the time we wanted to be on). Should you be taking trips to the mainland during your stay purchase round trip tickets at the Islesboro Ferry terminal as they are half the price you pay at Lincolnville and save the return trip initially purchased at Lincolnville for your final return to the mainland.

A stay at this home on Islesboro is a wonderful experience.

Blissfully Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

This is our second year and we spent ten days at Heavenly Daze in August. We hiked and biked and saw a bald eagle, osprey, deer, rabbits and even a seal. We spent time relaxing on the deck and enjoyed glorious sunsets. We grilled hamburgers and chicken on the grill and had raspberries picked in the yard for breakfast. The house has everything you need to vacation in comfort and the owners and caretaker are very responsive. In addition, the community on the island is welcoming and very safe. This is the perfect place for relaxing and enjoying nature.

The property and house were stunning and immaculate. A beautiful, peaceful spot. The panorama of the bay was breathtaking at all times of day. We loved the garden and the fire pit, and greatly appreciated the welcome basket with wine and fixings for smores!! The beach was a short and easy walk, and it was a short walk to lovely seaside trails. I cannot say enough good things about this property, I want to go back!!!

We loved our stay at Heavenly Daze. Quiet and serene. Loons, deer, mink, herons. Great for walkind and canoeing or kayaking. Perfection vacation spot for enjoying nature and family. It is not a spot to visit if you are looking for urban night life.

Beautiful view, beautiful home.

  • 5 of 5

We are so blessed to have found the Lipcom home on Ilesboro. this is our 4th year at their home on the island. Beautiful spot! Very clean and well kept property. I am handicapped and am unable to climb stairs and this is the perfect place for us to stay. The apartment over the garage is perfect for our children to visit for a night or two with the grandchildren. Nothing bad to say about this property.
