I grew up in the country in the Northeast and have traveled to many places, but Texas is my home. My children live in San Antonio and I often go visit and they come here when they want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city life. My daughter said to me one day, 'Mom I'm so glad you bought this place. I know when I feel stressed I can come out here to unwind and relax'. What a great compliment from a 23 year old! I come from a very large family and when they come to visit they all tell me the same thing. I feel very fortunate to have this place and wanted to share what I have and open my place to everyone that feels the need to unwind, relax and slow down.
Donna Browne purchased this cabin in 2006
When I decided to move to the Hill Country, I couldn't have picked a better place. Living here has been such a pleasure. The wildlife, views and peace and quite has been exactly what I needed. I've learned to slow down and appreciate my surroundings.
The benefits of living in the country are countless. We have horses, dogs, cats, donkeys and chickens. When you wake up and smell the fresh air, feel the warm breeze and hear the chirping of the birds, you know you're in God's country.
My husband and our two dogs stayed at this lovely property for 3 days. Everything was perfect. We loved everything about this cabin. The cabin has a toilet and small kitchen. They do have a 2 burner stove, but the one burner didn't work so well and the lg frying pan needs to be replaced. Those didn't bother us. We used the BBQ to make our evening dinners and for breakfast we bought eggs from Donna. I have to say the best eggs with the largest yokes I've ever seen. The bathhouse is just outside the cabin. The property does have 2 other small cabins. The owner only rents them out to a group. So you'll need not worry about sharing the space with anyone else unless you rent them. We enjoyed our evenings by the fire with our wine we purchase during our winery tours on Saturday. We would sit by the fire for hours and watch the evening stars. In the morning, we'd sit on the front porch enjoying coffee and watching the sun rising and the animals grazing. We really enjoyed the animals on the property. I was able to pet the horses and give Fredrick the Alpaca nose kisses. He really is fun. This location is about 45 mins away from Fredericksburg and 40 to Boerne. You'll have no service to internet which was perfectly fine for us. If your looking for a peaceful getaway, this is it.
Definitely plan on visiting again. The plan was to relax and that's exactly what we did. Very quiet and peaceful area with an awesome fire place. Appreciate you all sharing your hideaway.
Donna is easy to work with! The cabin is cute and the outdoor fireplace even better! The bed and pillows were very comfortable! We walked the property each morning and found plenty of trails. We absolutely loved the bath house! It was wonderful to find some place to allow our wiener dogs🐶! Thanks Donna for every thing! 🐾🐾
Absolutely stunning views, amazing women who own and maintain the property and animals. Extremely comfortable bed and everything else you would need to have an amazing stay. There isn't a single thing we did not love about this cozy cabin and the wonderful human beings that run seven sister's ranch. We can't wait to go back. Oh, and Frederick the friendly alpaca was just as adorable in person. 5 stars. Do yourself a favor and stay here.
We just recently stayed there. Donna led us to the cabin and was happy to answer any questions we had. The cabin was nice and very clean. She even brought us a couple glasses, mugs, plates, and bowls. The animals on the property were all kind, a couple even came up to say hello! We needed wasp spray once and she answered her phone right away and gladly brought the wasp spray to us. Everything was wonderful and I have already recommended this place to others. We would gladly stay again.
The overall experience was fantastic!! Our hosts were so attentive and yet respecting privacy! The patio and fireplace area is beautiful and a great place to relax with some wine and star gaze! We saw multiple shooting stars! Very comfortable and quiet location! All of this made it worth the drive out from Wimberly area. First time to visit Boerne and we Loved it so much we didn't make the drive to Fredericksburg!! Highly recommend this location for your next hill country stay!! Just a note the bath house is separate and doesn't have a/c but we would go back in heart beat!!
