About Lynn Jones

I'm a retired woman who loves the Shenandoah Valley and especially Massanutten. Having been born in PA in the mountains, this area in the mountains (Blue Ridge, Massanutten and Allegheny mountain ranges) is perfect for me. I also love people and owning vacation rentals is the perfect way for me to be able to treat others to what I love and offer them unforgettable vacations.

Lynn Jones purchased this house in 2012

Why Lynn Jones chose Shenandoah Valley

The Crow's Nest is the most unique house I have seen in Massanutten. It almost looks like a house from a movie scene with a European flare, two sets of hand-welded spiral stair cases, warm knotty-wood pine walls in the great room and hall ways, hard wood doors and moldings and views of the mountains I love the out-of-doors and this house has about 1,000 square feet of beautiful covered decking with lots of wicker furniture and views.

What makes this house unique

This house makes you feel 'one with nature.' There are two large walls of floor to ceiling windows and approx. 1,000 sq ft of Trex decking and rails all covered with lovely roofing. The most unique aspect is the crow's nest atop the house for viewing the mountains.

Beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

The pictures online really do not do this home justice. The home was extremely clean and nicely maintained. The furnishings are very nice and the kitchen is very well stocked with all of the pots, pans and gadgets you need, as well as spices. Unfortunately, the hot tub was out of service while we were there but the owner, Lynn told us that ahead of time. That would really be my only complaint. My family travelled here for my mother's 80th birthday, My 98 year old grandmother was with us as well so it was very important to me to find a home that she could easily get in to and also had a bedroom on the main level. This had both. We had a blast playing games that were there including Foosball and Apples to Apples. The driveway is crazy steep so be sure that you have a 4 wheel drive in the winter - which I'm sure is the case if you travel to Massanutten at all in the winter. We went to some local wineries - Bluestone and Cross Keys. Absolutely beautiful and worth going to if you like wine. The White Oak Lavender Farm is really great too. All in all, my family raved about the home and we would definitely go back. Thanks Lynn for sharing your beautiful home.

amazing!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful house! We went with another couple and our 3 kids. What a great floor plan for our needs! Our friends stayed in the upper master suite, and we took the remaining bedrooms. There was more than enough space for everyone to be comfortable. I've rented several homes through Homeaway and have been to a better stocked home. Everything we needed was there, including spices and condiments. The location was fantastic! Very centrally located in the resort. Everything was just a few minutes away, including the Waterpark, the stables and the adventure park. So much to do on the resort and in the area. Could have spent much more time there. Views were terrific and the wooded location felt so very private. We would love to go back someday :)

Second time and still a charm

  • 5 of 5

I can't brag enough about this place. Whether it's a romantic getaway or a few friends reuniting. This is without a doubt the best place you can go. Beautiful views, close proximity to entertainment, and the resort. I love being so close to everything yet still being tucked away. The home owner is a pleasure to work with and the house is so comforting. I look forward to my next visit and highly recommend anyone who is looking for a fun and relaxing getaway.

Property was lovely nestled in the woods. Beautiful decks overlooking woods. Well maintained. Well equipped kitchen and bathrooms. Perfect for multiple families. Many extras, like games, puzzles, and children's toys. In the heart of the Massenutten resort, close to everything.
