About the property

2 bedroom, 2 bath in the heart of rural Amish country

Our cozy, country Bed and Breakfast barn is located on our nine acre farmette. The setting is very private along a quiet country road, surrounded by Amish farms. Visit our barnyard, say hello to the animals, take a hike, roast some marshmallows over the fire, or just relax and watch the beautiful countryside from the kitchen window while the kids play outside on the swingset.

About Sara Stoltzfus

Dan and Sara, Lancaster County natives, welcome you to their quiet country setting among the Amish and Mennonite communities. The Stoltzfus's and their four children attend Life Fellowship Church. Their Bed & Breakfast is situated on nine acres of beautiful land, surrounded by Amish farms.

We will gladly assist you with maps and plans to make your stay memorable. A video of the Amish and Mennonite is available to view, and we are happy to answer any questions you might have.

Come enjoy the beautiful country setting in the heart of Lancaster County! We hope to make your stay relaxing with many good memories.

What makes this bed and breakfast unique

The B&B is detached from the house. Rent the two rooms and enjoy the privacy of the entire facility. Stony Hill comfortably accommodates eight people. The beautiful post-and-beam kitchen and living room is shared by both rooms. A queen pull-out sofa is available in the living room. The kitchen has a refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, and microwave.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Just wanted to say again how much we enjoyed our stay with you. It far exceeded our expectations! Everything was wonderful, from the cleanliness of the rooms to the homemade bread and everything in between. We even enjoyed your fireworks display from the window. I would recommend your Bed & Breakfast to anyone wanting to stay in your area. I'm hoping we will be able to come back someday.

Another great experience!

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at Stony Hill again this year! It was great to see Tasha and Maya again and we are glad to have been able to have had a little more relaxation time than last year. As always, the Stoltzfus' were so gracious and we once again enjoyed Sara's homemade bread and strawberry jam and streusel. We will definitely be back next year!

Amazingly clean and tidy rental

  • 5 of 5

Our family of five thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The owners are respectful of your privacy and the accommodations were truly first class. The 2 dogs that greeted us were a hit with the kiddos.

Lovely stay!

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect place to stay! We were close to everything we wanted to visit in the Lancaster area, and it was also an hour to Hershey and not quite 2 hours to Gettysburg. The rental was clean and cozy, and the beds were very comfortable! Although small, the kitchen was great for making simple meals at home, which is one of the reasons we like to rent from vrbo. Sara supplied us with delicious homemade bread, jam, fruit, yogurt, muffins, and a couple of tomatoes from her garden. We enjoyed our visit to this beautiful area of rolling hills, valleys, and lovely farms. Sara and her family were very welcoming and hospitable, and it was our pleasure to meet them!

Enchanting

  • 5 of 5

We had the nicest time. Although Sara and her family where not home at the time we were there, they left many baked goods and fruit and a stocked fridge for us to enjoy. Everything we could need was there in abundance: clean towels, kitchen supplies, showers supplies, blankets, pillows, and comfortable space! Tastefully decorated, impeccably clean, amazing views of the hills and corn fields. Our kids loved picking corn and tomatoes from the backyard, playing with the dogs and kitten, and using the swing set. Sara was readily available by text to answer any questions we might have. We were sad to leave and promised our kids we'd return some day. Thank you!

MY FAVORITE RENTAL OF ALL TIME!

  • 5 of 5

Look no further for a rental. This was the cleanest and quaintest house I have ever rented. Six ladies went for a short visit to Amish country and not ONE complaint. Spotless, every need met, friendly dogs to welcome you. The list goes on and on. Sara came to welcome us upon arrival and offer her assistance in planning our stay. Left us numerous drinks, wonderful muffins, and a loaf of bread for breakfast. This truly is a gem. It's a little out of town, which added to it's charm. We didn't even lock our door when gone. Absolutely, a 5. Would give it a higher rating if I could. Also, the beds and pillows were to die for!
