Our cozy, country Bed and Breakfast barn is located on our nine acre farmette. The setting is very private along a quiet country road, surrounded by Amish farms. Pet the ponies, take a hike, roast some marshmallows over the fire, or just relax and watch the beautiful countryside from the kitchen window while the kids play outside on the swingset.
We are a Bed and Breakfast, so a supply of homemade bread for toast, bagels, pastries, cereals and juices is always on hand for your enjoyment.
Dan and Sara, Lancaster County natives, welcome you to their quiet country setting among the Amish and Mennonite communities. The Stoltzfus's and their four children attend Life Fellowship Church. Their Bed & Breakfast is situated on nine acres of beautiful land, surrounded by Amish farms.
We will gladly assist you with maps and plans to make your stay memorable. A video of the Amish and Mennonite is available to view, and we are happy to answer any questions you might have.
Come enjoy the beautiful country setting in the heart of Lancaster County! We hope to make your stay relaxing with many good memories.
Owner/Manager purchased this apartment in 2005
The B&B is detached from the house. Rent the two rooms and enjoy the privacy of the entire facility. Stony Hill comfortably accommodates eight people. The beautiful post-and-beam kitchen and living room is shared by both rooms. A queen pull-out sofa is available in the living room. The kitchen has a refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, and microwave.
Just wanted to say again how much we enjoyed our stay with you. It far exceeded our expectations! Everything was wonderful, from the cleanliness of the rooms to the homemade bread and everything in between. We even enjoyed your fireworks display from the window. I would recommend your Bed & Breakfast to anyone wanting to stay in your area. I'm hoping we will be able to come back someday.
The gps and loose directions were a challenge (small rural bridge was out). BUT once we got there we loved it. A charming rustic large cottage/barn was just what we needed after driving up from Florida. It was so quiet and peaceful. The pets were very sweet and loving and served as an excellent welcoming committee. Sarah added wonderful touches by supplying cereals, mighty tasty crumb cake, fresh milk, tea, coffee, juice, hot chocolate and other little goodies. The bed in the master was very comfortable and our son enjoyed his room. The old tools mounted on the walls added just the right touch and reminder of the hard work that goes into working the land in Amish country. I have minor feedback for the owner should they ever ask but all in all we loved it and none of us wanted to leave.
We had a wonderful stay at this B&B in Lancaster. The fridge was stocked with eggs, fruit, yogurt, milk and orange juice. As previous renters have stated, it is worth the trip just to have the homemade bread and jam! Delicious. The beds were comfortable and everything you might need was provided by the owners. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and family and immediately felt at home when welcomed by the friendly dog, Maya and the cutest cat named Buttercup. We were free to roam the property and soon made friends with the horses and the goat. The setting was just perfect - we couldn't have wished for a better stay in Lancaster! One of the highlights was cooking hot dogs and marshmallows at the fire ring under the stars (wood also provided by the owners). We definitely would like to return.
This place is amazing! Very clean and quiet with great attention to detail. The home baked bread and rolls for breakfast are delicious. We would definitely stay here again.
Our stay was more than we could have hoped for. The Stoltzfus family was so wonderful and inviting. We found the barn charming and immaculate. Sara made sure to tell us everything we needed to know and made sure we knew she was available if we needed anything at all. The homemade bread and jam were a favorite. Our children loved our visit; especially playing with the dogs and kittens. We look forward to visiting again in the future!
The owners are very nice and their property exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and the breakfast provided was perfect...fresh eggs, homemade bread, and a homemade sweet bread.
We have stayed at many places in Lancaster in the past. We just spent a week at this cozy B&B. We thoroughly enjoyed every last detail of this home. It is by far our favorite and hope to only stay here in the future.
We are within 15 miles of most major local attractions such as Sight and Sound Theaters, Strasburg Railroad, Cherry - Crest Farm, American Music Theater, Rockvale and Tanger Outlets, and many other Amish country attractions.
