We built this custom home as our retirement destination and retreat: planning every detail for maximizing the gorgeous lake view. That's what it's all about.
Owner purchased this house in 2003
We purchased the lake lot 20 years ago and waited for the perfect time to build our dream retreat. There is no other home in the area with a private penisula lot with a panoramic view and very gentle slope to the water. Very unique and desired !!!
Close to the Land Between the Lakes activities and Lake Barkley State Resort Park yet a perfect distance to enjoy a quiet, serene setting.
Great to work with from start to finish. Property is beautifully maintained. Lake views surround. I'm a stickler for cleanliness and their home did not disappoint. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Great property on Lake Barkley! The house was the perfect size for our family of six. We spent countless hours relaxing on the screened in porch, overlooking the gorgeous views of the lake. Enjoyed family dinners every night, and had so many movies to choose from in the DVD collection available, we weren't even able to get through a third of the movies we wanted to watch! The fire pit and grill were perfect, we used them both several nights, and even saw a family of deer one morning with their babies gallavanting around the fire pit area chasing each other. Very quaint location on the lake, you feel like you're the only people around... But only a short drive from Cadiz for antique shopping, or last minute runs to the grocery store. All in all, couldn't have asked for a better place to unwind and enjoy time together as a family...
We had a difficult week for the outdoors as heat indices were 100° plus nearly every day. And most attractions at Land Between the Lakes were closed due to flooding damage from previous weeks. Thankfully we had a comfortable air conditioned retreat at this lovely home! So many windows from which to see the lake and wildlife, including cranes, deer, and geese, and a box turtle that lives under the front deck that our grand daughter named Timmy the Turtle. Beds are comfortable and each bedroom has its own bath. When we did venture into the sticky thick air we jumped into the lake off the large covered dock. The only negative is that there is not a ladder to get out of the water; you must wade to the muddy rocky shore. However we would still highly recommend this beautiful home. Bring outdoor shoes as the wildlife does leave droppings in the grass that you don't want to bring into the house. Oh! And the little Cabin Coffee & Cafe in Cadiz makes delicious lattes and cold brews.
We loved the house! We thoroughly enjoyed the screened porch and spent many hours there listening to the rain, reading, and just enjoying the view. We loved having the convenience of having a boat dock for our boat to easily enjoy fishing, tubing, and boating around the lake. The property is tucked away in a beautiful quiet setting. The kitchen was fully equipped and the kids loved having their own rooms each with a bathroom. Loved it!
The home was beautiful and perfect for our family. It is right on the lake and the property is beautiful. The screened in porch was perfect for sitting and enjoying the lake view. Great home for a relaxing vacation!
Beautiful home, steps from the water. We floated and sunbathed off the dock. Reading on the screened in porches. It was a quiet part of the lake so we didn't have the noise of boats. We relaxed in the hammock. We had several fires in the firepit. We saw a bald eagle and 2 baby deer and a momma were steps from the home. We took many walks on the quiet country roads. We rented a boat that fit the dock perfectly. The floor plan was open and conducive to family fun. Easy access to Cadiz for antique shopping, Nashville, and the Land Between the Lakes for exploring. Thank you!
