For folks who need child care, we have recommendations for caring, responsible baby sitters.
Chelsea Holladay oversees the upkeep of The Little House. She has lived in Asheville for over ten years and is proud to share it's beauty and abundance with her guests.
Chelsea and her family live in the adjacent home. In warmer months, she can often be found gardening in the front and back yard, or playing with her kids outside. She is always happy to answer any questions about the property or the Asheville area.
The Little House is not only comfortable and cute, but conveniently located in the center of all of Asheville's best offerings.
The property's interior is clean and bright, with pleasant furnishings. A home away from home!
While tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood, The Little House is only a short walk to downtown and it's many delicious restaurants, great music venues, and abundant art galleries. One can also walk within the neighborhood to find a large, healthy, organic grocery store, a wonderful yoga studio, a playground, a greenway, and an experimental forest with walking trails.
The property is also only a short drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway and The Biltmore Estate. One can enjoy tons of great hiking and mountain biking in the surrounding mountains or raft, paddle, or tube down one of the many rivers that runs through the area.
Lovely, comfortable and extremely convenient to everything Asheville has to offer. We had a great time. The house has everything you need to feel at home. Cannot wait to return!
We've just returned home to Arizona after a three-month stay in Mount Clare Little House. The house was all we expected and more! We could not have been more comfortable. We wanted a property within walking distance of Asheville and this location was perfect. Even when snow prevented us from taking out the car, we were able to walk easily to a supermarket, a coffee shop and a delightful diner. The neighborhood was Interesting to explore and an easy walk into Asheville city center, which we did regularly. Little House was warm and cozy and provided us with all the amenities we needed to make our extended stay comfortable. Chelsea and Juan were delightful hosts and were always there when we needed them, but left us to ourselves when we didn't. The location was also excellent for exploring West North Carolina. We were on the interstate in just a matter of seconds but were never troubled by any traffic noise. As we were looking to relocate to the area, this easy access was important to us and we used it daily. We found Asheville itself to be fun and eclectic and a great location offering many opportunities to explore the various areas. We particularly enjoyed the River Arts District and Biltmore Village. We found and purchased a property during our stay, but we will be visiting Asheville regularly to take advantage of all it has to offer. Our grateful thanks to Chelsea and Juan for all they did for us during our stay. We certainly hope to see them in the future and would highly recommend this property.

This home was perfect for our visit to Asheville. Great, downtown location, in a very nice neighborhood. Good information about local eateries provided in owner's book. Beds comfortable and home was clean. I gave 3 stars to the experience because of problems with the billing system from Homeaway. However, Chelsea worked very hard to correct the problem and it was resolved.
Stayed here for 4 nights in November. The cottage is very private with a modern updated kitchen and two bedrooms. Washer dryer is a plus!
Walked downtown to restaurants and shops on downtown Asheville every day. The choices are endless. Asheville is a very special place and I highly recommend the accommodations!
Such a sweet and quaint home. We absolutely loved staying here. A quick walk to downtown. Perfect for 2 couples, as there was plenty of room and did not feel cramped! Loved everything about this house, specifically master bedroom bed - so comfy! Thanks to Chelsea for being such a sweet host and welcoming us so warmly!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Mount Clare house. The location was perfect and the house was perfect for our little family. We really liked how quiet the house was, even though it was so close to downtown.
